Not much more than a dozen submissions, dirt races are as popular as usual in GT4. Ok, that was a pretty difficult track, but the car was very easy to control and fun to swing around the corners.
Huge congrats to GTManiac, unchallenged dirt master this week again, and huge congrats too to all those who managed clean laps.

Replay posting :
Gold times in each division are requested to provide a replay.
Please post your replay before the week-end so that everything can be checked before the next race ends.
Posted replays will be attached to this post (after having been converted to .max format when necessary).


Quick guide to replay checking :
  1. check the race summary, which should show 300HP D/D Free run (and obviously check the car and track are correct too)
  2. look a first time at the replay from the farthest top view (R1 R1 as soon as the race starts, X if you need to switch to the outside cam)
  3. look a second time at the replay from the same view but reverse (press L1)
  4. check the data logger for any weird pike (speed drop) under full throttle
    Due to the nature of the combo, data logger will be a must this week.

My last minute effort at least got me into contention with the rest of div 2.

I've had some discussion with other racers behind the scenes this week to get replays checked, some much needed encouragement and general tips on driving on dirt.

I'll hold my hands up right now.

The last time back-channel discussions were brought up in here I was a bit harsh,naive and childish in expressing my views on it.

It happens. I got over it.

I didn't go looking for help it came to me so a big thank you goes out to all who helped me this week....you know who you are. :cheers: :bowdown:

Well I knew I was beaten this week...hats off to you all for having more patience than me.

Here's my replay, I've had a couple of people look at it because it's very close on multiple corners but I felt confident enough to submit it.

Sweet a podium! Nice job Ben. Oh and I should have a Maxdrive by tomorrow! Or soon for this week 68 race :) Ill be sure to submit a replay for that week fast time or not!
 
Congrats, first and formost, to ANYBODY who did a clean lap. Grand Canyon is one of those tracks only the elite players can go around and not hit a thing.
Also congrats to all the winners and those doing redonkulous times. (that's right, I made up a word...)

And, definitely a congrats to all who got a clean lap!!! I just didn't have the control to get a clean one in my very limited time this week... 👍
 
oops, forgot to submit the 2'24.254 effort i did a while ago, will provide a replay for the pal rusers anyway if anyone wants to take a look
 
I guess that week is the week of the forgetfull. Holl01 missed a Div1 gold (probably), and Filizola an absolutely smashing Div3 victory...

I'm content with my silver. Too bad SuperT ran again, otherwise it'd be close...

Perhaps you could check shockwave's and/or SuperT's meanwhile ?

EDIT.

I've just watched both shockwaveracing and SuperT's laps. Both of which are clean. Both drivers came within a few centimeters of fences, but there were no impacts. SuperT was particularly close at one point.

Two good clean laps though. 👍
 
Ben's lap gets the thumbs up from me 👍

You couldn't have come any closer to the wall on the corner before T1 but upon close inspection it looked okay to me.

It was getting pretty close to the deadline too....:nervous:

The only other clean lap I had was nearly 15 seconds slower at the finish. There was another lap I had that was around the same time as this but several people looked at it for me and couldn't decide so as the rule states - if in doubt don't submit.

Glad this weeks over now.....still testing six pots out for next week.
