WHAT IS IT?
The WRS Photomode Competition allows WRS'ers the opportunity to show their Photomode skills. You're task is to create a picture that can be used for the Week 85 results thread (much like the example above.) At the end of the week all entries in this thread will be judged by myself or the previous winner (Me :)) and a new winner will be determined.

WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS
The only restrictions placed on the photo you create are:
  • Photo must be 400 x 300 pixels
  • Photo must relate to the Week 85 race
  • Photo must contain the phrase "WRS Week 85 Results"
  • Photo must be submitted before Tuesday the 12th of December
And that's it! Only one photo per competitor but feel free to update your entry during the week 👍

So what are you waiting for........get out there and start racing and/or snapping some pics :sly:

That will be a problem, who will decide the winner? You, or You? *Monty Python Hillclimbers Argument*

Gotta do this week. One EvoI-III/Old-WRX photoshop comming up!

This looked great untouched in full size on my desktop. 👍
Let's see how 400x300 looks. :D

Edit:
Too much trouble from the image reduction. Gonna need to step up my game.
Back later with another submission in place of this (I hope).

Are we still allowed to submit a photo if we are not planning to participate in this weeks actual WRS event?

MisterWeary
Yep, no prob 👍

Ok cool, thanks.

Can I have more than one car in the picture?

I thought the photo had to represent the WRS week, so I wouldn't think so. It was similar when we where doing that Kei car week and we weren't allowed to have a wing on the car in the photo. But then again, it is a 'vs' week...so it may be allowed.

I dunno...rules are only there to give the competition boundaries, I like the idea of a picture with both the Rex and Evo in it though so yeah sure, why not :)

Cyril used to do photoshops with two cars - Pagani Zonda + Salleen S7, Or the Week68 Multi-car one...

If you want to see a picture with 6 cars in it go and check out my race series
(in my sig). Well here is my entry for this week.

I'll be getting a picture soon. I was really looking forword to racing this week, but I crashed my dads quad and messed up my sholder, so driving with the DFP isn't going to happen and I can't race at all with a contorler any more.

So I'll send in a picture. I'm not going to tell you what my idea is, you'll have to see when I summit a pic. Sorry I couldn't race. I feel bad now.:(

Sweet... How did you get those exact angles in the picture? Wouldn't this take VERY long?

I'm gonna stick my neck out here and ruin it.

Anyone who wanted to use two cars but ,(like me), doesn't have photoshop or similar, or is just generally, (like me ), rubbish with a PC. My idea was to use two player mode. You may not be able to get the 'action' from shopping two shots together but what I've done is to place one car and then drive the other. Save your replay then hey presto, two cars on track! As long as the stationary cars wheels can't be seen in the photo no one need ever know.

You could even get a friend to do some racing with you if you really prefer to see the cars with the suspension loaded up under cornering...Dammit, I need one of those?

As long as you're in the right cars, on the right track I'm assuming it doesn't matter what mode your using for the picture comp....Colby?

Darren.

Yeah all's groovy, correct cars and correct track will suffice 👍

just finished my first 'artwork' and then i read about the multiple car shots ... well i just might give it another go. for now this is my shot:

It's a neat shot Steven, I would like to choose 400 wide x 300 high for the results thread though so sticking with those dimensions might be a good idea 👍

Here is my first pic to be going on with, hope you like it :)

Good idea.

Here is yet another way of doing it, if you have no photo-shop skills...

I went into a family cup race and kept on resetting the A.I fields until I got an Evo in the line-up, to race against my Spec C. Once the race started I got in front of the Evo and slowed it down, to allow the other A.I's to get well in front (to avoid them being in any of the shots). For the rest of the race I stayed with the Evo trying to get as many 'picture perfect' moments as I could (eg. over-taking around a corner, getting all 4 tires off the ground at the same time as the Evo).

To get an Evo (i think it was an Evo 6) in the line-up leave the A.I difficultly on zero. This was when using a stock standard Spec C.

neat trick cam, but i don't know if that'll fit in the photocomp rule that colby stated early about the pic being taken from a submissable wrs effort. maybe he should elaborate a bit on that, also about darren's trick.

For this week at least, if it's Seattle forward and it's an eligible car, I'm satisfied 👍

I understand the need or desire for all photo's being the same size, however I'm a little slow when it comes to pc's etc. I use photobucket to host my pics and can't upload to 400x300 or resize to that or can I?

Any help?

Perhaps the easiest solution is you could upload the picture you'd like to work on and I'll resize it to 400 x 300 for you with Photoshop and then repost it for you to add writing etc to it 👍

Thanks Colby, I know it is similair to one already posted. Let me know if I need to post something else.

Here ya go 👍

As for similar images I think that's fine, sometimes particular tracks don't offer much chance for variety, sometimes a particular style of shot will be popular...it's all good 👍
