Quick guide to replay checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are racing soft tyres (harder compounds allowed) and that the power is 558 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

wish i had more time to put in to this, i lost at least 0.5 on the damn lap, curse the rearranging of the house... :p

will get a replay up in a little while...

with my very poor performance of this week i even did not finish dlbf ... :dopey:
happy with the 5 submissions for div3 anyway.
on to 98 which is much more fun - to me anyways.

btw jerry - when will the 96 results be made final? i wanna finish the leaderboard asap. thanks for that.
 
Excellent work from all divisions :cheers: I certainly found this one pretty tough but I had to put a bit of effort in since my old man owns a Cobra :) I'll have my replay up next time the gf is over, she's been using the maxdrive as a USB storage device because it's the only USB I had with the installation disk for Win '98 :sly:
 
Who's getting up on the replay-train? In 30 minutes I'll load up the MaxDrive, and after a week spent hybridding GT3, I really hate it.

It was tough setting up this car and I was stuck on a 1'24.0 for some time,but I knew there was still some left so I'm happy I managed to find a couple more tenths :)

Great run everyone. I'm glad you got to the 1'23's Kel. I could see it but couldn't get there in the time I had. I turned the aids to 1 and started doing better but was never able to best my submitted time...
 
Congratulations to all of the winners and most noteably the two Division 2 racers that nipped me at the line. It's pretty cool that all 3 racers on our podium were seperated by barely more than a half a tenth 👍 I got beat by a girl :yuck: :sly:

More crazyness from the top of Division 1. I'm curious how I could be almost right on par at the T1 and down by .8 at the T2. I wish I could have just driven the car a bit better :grumpy:

Lastly, I want to thank Sphinx for checking my replays from the last 3 weeks and especially adding the note that my week 95 DQ run was actually clean. I was afraid some people might have gotten the wrong idea and thought I did not submit the replay because it was dirty. See y'all next week 👍
 
WTF ? I thought I did send a PM with my time but now I don't see it in my sent items.
Oh well, I was dead last in my division anyway :-)
 
Congratulations to all winners. It's a shame, nearly all of division 2 beat me. To be honest, I didn't play with the settings much...

Some pretty tight racing there between the top of D2 and the middle of D1... Thanks for beating me AGAIN, Kelly! :p There was more in it for me, but I got turned off to it after not getting any responses.

Congrats to everyone who tamed the beast enough to get a run in! 👍 The goldy takers as well, of course!

This was not an easy combo at all and top marks to anyone and all who managed a clean submitted lap :cheers:
I had a few tenths left for grabs but frustration at endless errors near the back end of the lap or at the hairpin before T2 made me give in :( .... Looking forward to a nice easy run at Susuka :) cya's all there :cheers:

When we had this conversation a few weeks back I really meant that I was hoping to get Gold - having to provide a replay for a crappy 7th place Bronze wasn't what I had imagined. :lol:

Anyway, just got back from the store where I bought an AR Max; I'll give it a try tonight and hopefully provide the replay ASAP.

I should have done better, but for some reason I didn't start to play with settings until last night (and picked up a lot of time) but then it just got too late and I couldn't drive well anymore.

By the way, congrats to all the winners. 👍

Wow, I'm surprised I won. The splits at the top of D2 were tight and I was convinced that my third split was sub-par.

Also, first time I've uploaded a MAX file. I hope I did it right.

Oh man, I'm so ticked at myself for missing this one! The Shelby is one of my favorite cars!!

I do have one question, though -- how are y'all making videos like that? I mean, it's obvious you're uploading them to You-Tube and then posting a link in your message, I get that much. But how are you transferring the vid from the PS2 to the PC? That's the part I can't seem to do -- nothing on the PC will read the replay file (at least nothing I can find), so I'm mystified as to how you're creating these videos... Any hints?
