GT40 Road Car as Competition

Anyone know where I can find a breakdown the competition for each race series?

My apolgies to anyone who might be mad that I couldn't find a related thread to inform me first.

I've seen the prize car lists, the prize car colo(u)r list, but no, in-this-race-you'll-compete-against-these-cars list.

I'd like to know in which series I can race my GT40 road car against other GT40 road cars (instead of the LM race car version).

Thanks in advance for the info and cudos to the members and mods of this wicked informative site

As far as I'm aware, the Ford GT40 Road car is one of the few cars the AI never, ever uses in GT3. It IS used for one race series in GT2, but other than that, can't help. Sorry.

Ill trust famine on the gt40 part but if you go to this website it has a kinda general idea of what you will be facing.

Edit:Hmm apparently thats not a direct link so click strategy guides on the left and then click the race list and it has a pretty detailed outline of all the races

Yes, you can race against a GT40 in the Professional MR race. I just raced against it.

In GT2, I remember the GT 40 was a hard car to beat in the 298 HP MR race, or something like that. It was the second of three MR races.
 
what cars can't be raced aginst in sim mode? i dont think the xr8 can, i no it can in arcade though

Yup, that's right. There is an AI GT40 Road car in the Professional MR championship.

EDIT: And I've just had an absolutely fantastic race against it at Midfield 2. I was in a stock XJ220 Road car on T3's. My front right was gone by the end, but we were rarely more than a second apart and there was usually Zonda C12S between us. I won by 0.014!!
