I tried doing launch with stock car on the test track to see how well it matches up to claimed 0-100kph in real life.
For example, I can do GT-R 07 0-100kph in 3.5s in DLC test track and replicate the real life results... however, for Aventador I can only achieve 3.4s for 0-100kph when the claimed 0-100kph is 2.9s.
Is that an indication that the physics is not well replicated or just that my launch is poor? BTW, i drove in auto with all assist off except ABS=1 while attempting the launch.
Is anyone able to reproduce all the 0-100kph time in GT5 that is comparable to real life in stock form (after oil change)?

Probably a mixture of auto and your launch.

The people who test the real life cars know how to time a launch also I think they run it over several attempts to get the best time.

mmhhh...nice idea...
my coupe is supposed to do 6,5 sec 0-100 kph....I will try it one of the next days...

Also note the lambo has launch control in real life which is not in the game. You can come close but it will be very hard to match the real life times.

Yup launch control in real life is no joke

Aventador in stock I got 2.9 seconds after a while I use wheel an pedals so first few attempts was my bad starts but I've found most I have tried ie the super cars are really not far off

Some cars have launch control, those cars are bad test candidates unless you can find a test where LC is not used (sadly, magazine testers seem addicted to LC, so it seems like real acceleration data is hard to find these days for a lot of cars).

Auto transmission is not always the best, you find the best shift points by looking at the powerband.

GT5's tire grip is not totally accurate. It can range from reasonable to absurdly low. In general, cars do not have enough grip under acceleration, so 95% of times should be too long. The 5% that might do better than real life are typically high powered AWD cars.

The 458 is slower to 60 but ~2 secs faster on the mile in GT5
