Is too stupid for Nascar. It’s been about 3 and a half months since I got bored with Gran Turismo 5 Prologue 2, so I put it back in my PlayStation and blew the dust off of my steering wheel. I was hoping that I might have missed a few updates that would add some more premium cars or premium tracks, but alas, no. Anywho, I deleted my profile so I could start over and go through the game again for the 3rd time, and got to the extreme series/Nascar series, and after racing through the whole championship all the way to Daytona, I got smashed on the 2nd lap by the crazy, rear-ending, oblivious to user AI. So I finished 12th. I had to race the Daytona 4 times before I could get through it without the crazy AI totally annihilating me from behind. Interestingly, it appears that while the AI may be oblivious to the user, it is totally cordial amongst itself. Not once did an AI car catch a draft from another AI car and use the force of that draft to ram the draft-providing car in the rear end. It only does that to users. Not only that, but if you ram an AI with all of that force, it has absolutely no effect on them whatsoever. The AI is immune to inertia and physics. ###### #### ### ####. After waiting 8 years and paying almost $70 for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue 2, with all the drawbacks and letdowns, such as the meager 200 drive-worthy cars, crappy accident and roll physics, and ridiculous, mirror-your-movement, smash-you, cut-you-off AI, I feel as though I bought a great big expensive mansion that took 20 years to build, only to find that there is a flaw in the mansion that makes the whole place smell like rotten eggs and dog turds. I really appreciate the view, but I can only hold my nose for so long. I wish I could contact the developers of this game directly and tell them personally that I won’t buy their next rendition if it doesn’t have more premium cars and premium tracks, better and more realistic accident physics, better AI, and better wheel/aero/style options. Wow, venting felt just as good as I thought it would. I know you fanboys hate it when someone has a different opinion of the game than your own, so flame away. Rant over.

I never knew we had a GT5 Prologue 2. I must have been to busy in the current GT5. Anyway, the AI are a bit dumb but if your careful and tune your car right by the end of the second lap you will be out of their draft range. Smooth sailing to the end from there.

"200 drive-worthy cars"? I can't even tell a difference between Premium and Standard cars (despite having a 52" Sony HD TV) and I never even use Cockpit view. Makes it hard to see most of the road.

Hey, that's fine, I'll have fun with my 1000+ "drive-worthy" cars while you're stuck with only 200.

Edit: And don't go saying I'm some GT5 "fanboy", I actually think GT3 was the best and funnest of the series, but GT5 seriously isn't as bad as you're making it out to be.

I became completely disillusioned with GT after I saw Forza's customization options. There is NO BETTER DRIVING MODEL than GT5. I really enjoy endless time attacking at Tsukuba and Laguna Seca, but Forza's customization options, Livery Editor and car selection is superior TBH. Forza isnt miles and away better but, looking atwhere it does excel, I'm very ftustrated with PD

Take revenge on that lame AI. Just start a new race and drive backwards and make them crash, then troll and laugh at them and ask them how does it feel? That will show them :)
