New version 1.3 out today found here . http://goo.gl/uDC1E Added in a HOME button on many pages. Fixed some grammatical errors, changed a couple layouts to test if they are compatible with android 2.1- 2.3.7 New MYSetups feature, new theme, and new link to SHMO's new site and i have a couple questions for you all.

1. How does this version look on your phone? We have done some work to improve the look and feel of this app. It seems though that not all of you can see it if your not running the newest version of android 4.+.

If your running 2.1 - 2.3.7 let us know how it looks please.

2. What features would you pay for?
Very soon we will begin work on many new features for a paid version and we want as much feedback on what you find worth the buck or two that it will cost. No suggestion is overlooked.

As always, thanks for your support and assistance. We really feel this is a community built app thanks to your great idea's.

No idea's guys? Adding a home button to be used throughout the app today and info on the TT and DT

Thanks for the PM's

Idea's for future versions:

Home Button to return to home quicker

Full real world Topgear TestTrack Times

Savable Track Times

Edit Tuning section to be more in depth and informative.

Add in direct info from web pages to eliminate data usage. (this will possibly take up more space on the phone for those of you with older phones)

Organize Specific setups for easier access

First off, it looks pretty cool, some graphics could use smoothing though. It has some useful information most of which can be found here. I'm not really feeling the direct links to websites, some people have limited data plans and don't want to open full forum sites.

If you were to make a paid version, you should definitely re-do the tuning section. Just linking it to the GTP page doesn't cut it for me, as we all know how the search isn't really helpful all the time. If you re-did the tuning section, gather the tunes, and organize them better, I'D pay for that.

Good work. I'll play around with it a little more.

Edit, I do find it a little laggy between screens. HTC Desire CM7.1 (Gingerbread based)

The graphics look horrible on my phone (Samsung Galaxy SII GTi-9100T /w Android 4.0.3). They are stretched and look grainy.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you be more descriptive? Is it all pages, is it just pictures.....do you have root access? Can you take screen shots? Nobody on the team has seen this on any of our different phones or screen sizes but none of us have your phone. Thanks again. And thanks Blunt for the ideas too. Good stuff there.

The first three options you have on there causes the app to force close when i click on them. I have an xperia play version 2.3.3; and the graphics too, look a bit grainy as someone else mentioned.

Seems like people with xhdpi resolution screens have a problem with the graphics. Mine is hdpi and looks good, with one exception, the icon for "Latest GT5 News", it looks a bit fuzzy but probably due to the cutting of the helmets. All of the screen shots and other images look fine.

Htc Thunderbolt running 2.3.7.

App worked fine. Looked like some content wasn't included yet. Graphics looked alright - not amazing. No crashes or bugs.

Its going to be tough to maintain enough quality information in this app to make me use it regularly - I'm already conditioned to using gtplanet. I use the gtp android app daily.

Would not pay for any content because it's already freely available on gtp. Think about all the great stuff people contribute to this site - the bspec remote race grinder is a great example. Everyone gives what they can to make the community better.

There was a guy a year ago who developed an arduino usb board that would auto-grind bspec events - another awesome idea - but he tried to sell the boards and not make the product open source. I doubt he sold more than a few.

Anyways, off my soapbox

Advice for graphics? Find better graphics/images, the resolution are too low and they look tacky, some of the words are difficult to read because of the dark fonts on dark background. Some of the pages don't seem to have received any love at all.. (ie: The list with the easter egg, trophies, If i use a wheel which is best). And come on, use proper grammar/spelling.

Ask a graphic designer to help as that's the weakest point of your app by far and ugly apps won't go far, they can help improve the look and give you some advice on visual organization and sharpening up your application's visual quality.

As for a paid version... forget that, I have hardly any reason to get the app now as is, and don't try taking things from GTplanet that's available for free, and selling them in the paid app, that'll just turn peoples away.

Just my 2 cents as a designer, there's a lot of things I can go on about but those are the most immediate noes that I have.

Great feedback gents, I appreciate it. Working on more stuff as we speak. And we of course don't want to take free stuff from here and sell it, we want to get idea's from the community that will actually use the app and this is the best place for that. Keep it coming

I'll get some screenshots uploaded later on today. I do not have root access. It only occurs on the pictures on the very first page.

Thanks Korza, pm or post them here, either is fine. Updated today with 1.3 adding in a HOME button. Next update will be a week or so out and will incorporate many of the changes mentioned here. Might look into some of the code it takes to adjust Calcifers idea to Android.

Cool app. Thanks.
