GT5 Avatar/Profile pictures.

I have a few questions relating to avatars/profile pictures in GT5, Ive seen this done in a friends profile where he has used a profile picture that has come from an external source, not from the game. Also is there a way to add your own photo/avatar to your name in the friends section on the XMB instead of downloading from PSN or the standard ones. Thank you
 
#1. Are you certain his GT5 avatar isn't a GT5 pic
#2. Sadly, no (otherwise you would get a bunch of immature ones...)
 
It must have been taken in gt5, i dont believe its possible to have your own.. maybe the 3+ rating? I dunno..

I see someone once with GT logo. When I asked about it he never reply back.
 
His profile pick was supporting a drug you smoke, so i know it did'nt come from inside GT5.
As RocZX says ive no reply from him either.
 
I've seen this before, I just don't know how to do it. I know what you are talking about. I was wondering aswell.
 
But I aint jailbreaking my PS3 to do it.

Sorry for bump but its driving me crazy....

Ive made photo of my driver. Its showing on PROFILE icon (that BIG photo).

It doesnt show my avatar photo in that little picture as on the image.

Anyone got any idea whats wrong??

Yes, I had the same problem and only yesterday found out how to fix that. When you change the outfit of your driver, take a picture and save it as your profile picture it's only affecting your home screen. It's probably a bug of some sorts...

To change what you call the avatar picture as well you need to go to the home settings menu (in game, go to GT Life, then to the vertical set of icons to the far left of the screen, it's right below the blue "i" icon). From the menu, select "Design settings" -> "Profile Picture" -> "Select a photo".

That will change the avatar picture and the profile picture.
It will take some time to update the picture for the Gran-Turismo website, but in game it should be changed immediately.
