Am I the only one who thinks GT5 has gon boring at -POINTS- I mean its the best game i've ever got since my first console, but it just feels dull at times.. I was thinking of getting a G27 but I don't want to waste my money if it's going to be like this.. Am I the only one who feels this way?

trust me, if you get a g27, it won't be boring, it's like getting a new game, and better

If you only do A-Spec and Arcade mode, it will still get boring with a G27, just not enough good content there. But if you delve into some organized online racing found in the Online Events section the game will never be boring again. 👍

A DFGT or G27 is worth every penny though and will greatly increase your enjoyment of the game no matter what you play. Can't recommend a wheel enough.

Yeah, I thought getting a Redbull X1 was my dream of this game, i over-drove it, now its a peice of ****.

Well, it depends on what you want to do with the game, since GT5 is becoming an RPG-like game.

i recently got a DFGT, and i fell back in love with the game
it adds a whole new level of realism and is crazy fun
keep in mind though, i found the learning curve to get used to the wheel and racing quite a challenge, i would recommend doing alot of the licences again, starting at the beginning, and try to get gold on all
that really helped me alot, as well as starting with some clubman races

turn off all the driving aids and stop using racing softs.

Boring fixed!

Use stock/totally standard cars, buy all the supercars and see which is fastest on different tracks, then watch the replay, you haven't seen w hat magic awaits you when you drive a stock 458italia (For example) and then watch the replay, the way the car behaves, it is here where the physics engine shines far brighter than anything else on consoles!

For added jaw on the floor turn ABS off (As well as every other assist)

Tell me me thats boring and I'll show you a liar!

I drift, I grind, i did atleast 75% of A-Spec races, but the Endurance races just makes me sick from how boring it is..

Maybe you're racing with an overpowered car? Try racing or sports hard, and get yourself a ride about equal to the competition and also good enough for your skill level. Endurances are a high point of GT5 IMO, now that we can save mid-race.

Hope this helps!

THIS. Game changed for me when I decided only to use sports or comfort tires. And that was around 10 months ago already.

Shuffle racing, i strongly recommend clean shuffle racing.

Clean or dirty, its fun either ways. The feeling of driving a car that isn't yours led you to do some mad things.

Shuffle racing at the Top Gear Test Track its one of the most fun things I've ever done in GT5.

Add me on ps3 Hamooda-X then i'm sick of doing absolutely nothing XD

How far into the race before you can save.

I've avoided endurace altogether because of the time..

you can save anytime you want, as long as you are in the pits.

Iknow you can, but i mean it just gets boring after 5 miniutes, it feels as if your never going to finish.

I still don't find this game boring. Today I took the stock Golf VI R to the Nurburgring 24H track. HUD off, set the time to around sunset, time change at 10, weather change at 10 and just drove. When I turned the HUD back on I saw I did 9 laps :D This game still amazes me at some points.

The concept of endurance doesn't combine well with a short attention span, no matter which game you use.
As for the game being boring, I've mainly used the Premium selection (and a selected few of the Standards) so far and I still enjoy driving that limited variety offline, and love using them online (hardly a dull moment there).
If you're really into cars in general (and have an eclectic taste and appreciate a wide range of cars) and even accept the core game structure of GT5 is a joke, you'll basically only need cars and tracks to enjoy yourself (that's not saying it couldn't or shouldn't offer more btw) and add online to have even more fun (mostly in the private lobbies though).

👍

If playing with pad of course it will get boring. I dont know how anyone could play GT5 without a wheel.

Amazing realism with a wheel, yup over a year and I'm still not bored, shuffle racing online will never get boring

It just causes frustration. I need to get a wheel. :banghead:

As has been said many times, get a wheel. Got a DFGT, then got the G27. Turn off driving aids and don't use racing tires. Shuffle races or even cruises on SSR11 are great fun. As long as you enjoy driving, this game will NEVER get boring....at least not to me.

Hands down the best experience I've had on a PS3. And it still continues to be.

Anybody know how the Thrustmaster T500rs is? Is it a genuine upgrade over the G27?

I play with PAD, got the game at midnight 24/11/10 and play every single day, first thing I do every morning before work and first thing I do after work.
I also have a very fit Mrs but even she can't get me off GT5 and these forums!
Can't get bored with game!

This is what I'm doing as I had a T500 for Xmas, it's helping me alit get used to it!

GT can be boring but I still play everyday plus I'm in 2 racing series which are awesome :)

I'm with ya man I'm bored, level 40 A spec, 38 B spec. Have done the suzuka 1000 and can't stomach any more endurances, I do enjoy seasonals drifts but I'm finding I play very little now because its a speed 12 festival (myself included which is sad). Online is ok sometimes (most of the time its kiddies and rammers or if I do find a good room that I like I end up with the real world getting in the way. Really need an expansion pack, a GT5.5 if you will with about 600 A spec events (with more variation of makes and classes and reverse too), proper rally, A spec drifting and a drag racing tournament (all topped of with the long promised leaderboards). Theres just not allot left to do I have a dfgt but I get too bored after a couple of races to get it out and set it up then pack it up again so I can watch tv. Don't get me wrong its clearly the best console sim more than a year later and I feel I have gotten my $77 worth out of it. Just a bit boring now is all. (oh and have raced assists off since about dec 2010).
