GT5 has over 1000 cars so chances are there are some that they get wrong. What are some cars that you think don't handle the way they should when compared to what you hear about them in the rear world.

My picks are the:

Lotus 111R (and pretty much every variant of the Elise) - instead of being stable, nimble, and understeer-y like how they are in real life, they feel very unstable especially in fast corners where the tail comes out very easily.

TVR Tuscan Speed 6- The opposite of the Elise, it should be wild and unnerving to drive, but I find that its a bit too stable, and it actually takes effort to kick the tail out.

Enzo - Just a poor handling car unless you put a bunch of upgrades on it, really dissapointed about this.

The Enzo has poor handling in real life also, that is why the MC12 was made.

My cars that are in game:
Scion XB handles like crap in real life and could never achieve what it does on comfort hards in GT5..
..66 Mustang; granted, yes it is a Shelby in game but it should only be better correct? I'll compare tires to sports soft. It is NOTHING like the horrid Shelby in game.. It's WAY faster in a straight line and much better around corners, the Shelby in game loses traction on Racing Super-Softs which I believe would hardly be possible compared to the same power in real life. Yes if you are careful in the game you can put down some nice lap time, but the carefulness is excessive compared to real life ..

I noticed also some quite extreme difference inside certain car types. With 1000+ cars, it is no surprise the driving models are just like the sounds, close on some cars, and way off on many others. I feel there are "premium" driving models on some cars, while other cars realy feel like they have a much moresimple driving model.
But fortunately most of us have no experience with top end performance with 99% of these cars, if we did i think we'd be very disapointed.

I think we can agree that GT5 is all about quantity above quality, and that shows in sounds, driving models and premium/non premium cars.

If the physics model was doing what it should then the number of vehicles should make no difference (as the physics are not modeled per car), however as even PD acknowledge the tyre, suspension and aero model on GT5 is not what it should be.

Fingers crossed the changes for GT6 should make the difference.

I feel that the Nissan R390 GT1 '98 and MB CLK-GTR race car should handle better and quicker, comparatively speaking to the other Le Mans racer. For example, the Toyota TS020 '99 was insanely quick and handled so much better but these cars are from the same time period(tuning and weight aside)..

Audi R10 TDI Race Car - The one in GT5 feels butchered and driving it is not impressive.

Oh yea I can't believe I forgot this one! It's a shame, I really wanted to love it. And also while on the subject of LMP cars, I thought the Puegot 908 didn't feel exactly right either. It felt like it was set up wrong, there was way too much tire squeal for what is supposed to be an endurance car.

You might want to compare the 2, Audi R10 and Peugeot 908, to the Mazda 787B, which is said to be better than those oil-burning race cars, premium or not.

The R390 GT1 and CLK LM aren't LMP cars like the TS020. They are FIA GT race cars and that is why they are slower and do not handle nearly as good. Time period is irrelevant, these are 2 different classes of cars.
