hi,

in my opinion the cockpit camera of GT5 is very bad made for raceing with that view. The graphics are good but the feeling of the car and the speedfeeling is very bad, the fov i also dislike of this view.
Most of the top racers driving with the bumperview, that says how bad it really is!

in other games i allways using cockpit camera (PC games, iracing, R3E, rfactor) for racing cause its the best, only in GT5 i use bumperview. This must be better for the next generation of the game, polyphone must take a look to R3E cockpit-feelings!

Do u think that GT5-Cockpitcamera is good for racing ??? so for what we need premium cars if this Camera is so bad for driving ??

Yes, I do. I find it to be a magnificent view and I refuse to use anything else, regardless of whether it's a standard or premium.

Some people complain about having two wheels (If they're on a wheel like me), however due to my set-up (24 inch screen directly behind the wheel) I can't see the on screen wheel for the most part, just the gauges 👍

Premium cars aren't just about the cockpit view, the overall quality of the vehicles are the main point.

When racing real racecars (Peugeot 908 HDI, Mazda 787B etc.), using it is often difficult due to the fact that you really can't see around you to avoid other cars. For safety reasons I sometimes have to use the bumper cam.
 
I think you can adjust how much of the cockpit you see via the quick options menu - try that.

very impressive driving,fast and clean.
 
I use cockpit whenever there is a big enough field of view...I used the Citroen GT Race Car for the 4 hours @ Nurburgring and there was a verrrrry little field of view. Even so, I used it when I was far enough away from the AI drivers.

I think the ability to pan around the cockpit would be very useful in seeing around you. TDU2 did interior panning very, very well...
