Hello. I was wondering if there was anyway to pull back the cockpit view to see more and use the mirrors more effectively? I'm not playing on the biggest TV in the world, about 21 inches.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there is a FOV option in GT5.

^^^You are correct.

What you could do is to get the PSeye and use head tracking. This actually works really well in GT5. This would give you a realistic head tracking and subtle head movements translate to bigger movements on screen. If you've never used it it sounds dumb but its pretty brilliant.

Actually you can adjust how far back the cockpit view is in the quick options that you can access during the in race pause menu, you get the options of 'normal' 'narrow' and 'narrower'. However, you'r probably using the default which is 'normal' so you can't get it any further back, but you can try because you never know, you could have changed it by accident in the past.

It only works in Arcade mode. I haven't tried since the game released, so
It could've been fixed. Doubt it though.

Also it can be abit buggy sometime I find, and takes ages to set up correctly, but once you do get it set up it's pretty cool. Only thing is I had to put the camera infront of my TV because I was too lazy t set it up correctly when it was below it.

I know that my dfgt if you push left or fit on the dpad it looks in the direction you pointed. Down is the rear view too.

GT5 does have a FOV adjustment. It's in the "Quick Options" and is called "Interior View Angle".

That's the option that Gdog96 mentioned. I don't think it actually changes the FOV though, but rather moves the camera forward or back. The FOV is like the angle of the lens, not the location of the camera.

You're right. Bit of a misleading name... haven't touched it since GT5 came out :ouch: If the furthest back is the default (normal, narrow, narrower...) it won't help the OP anyway.

Oh well, 3 x PS3 + 3 x monitor should take care of it

You can assign the buttons to do whatever you need, PD got that right!

I have L2/R2 to look left/right and X is to look back. On my DS3, the right stick looks left/right. I use L2/R2 for brake & gas respectively. Real Triggers are a great add-in for only 5 bucks!

Finding out the limits of head tracking was very disappointing :(. And YouTube replay uploading :'(
