I suddenly have a interest in buying the collectors edition for the APEX Ultimate Guide book. But what I am wondering is if there is any important information inside the CD-Case. Are the redeemable codes inside the case? I have an idea to just keep my original GT5 CD + case... and just resell the collectors edition CD/Case in its new factory seal..

What I have in mind is that I buy the collectors edition, and then turn around and sell the CD case as brand new since I won't open the packaging therefore allowing me to sell as new on Amazon. This way, I will be able to get back at least 50-60$ because I will be selling the other stuff too except for the book essentially allowing me to get the book I want for 20$ without having to go through Ebay Hong Kong...

Are the Redeemable codes outside of the case of the collectors edition? Is the Collectors CD any different than the regular GT5?

How many pages is the APEX Ultimate Guide book?

-OR- Does anyone in the states have the collectors edition and no longer wants his or her APEX Ultimate Guide Book?

Edit: Would anyone mind telling me the table of contents? What I am really interested in is the supposed awesome detailed tuning part of the book.

Apex book is sealed in with game case in a larger cover. Thus, people will notice the missing book. The actual game cover, disc & instruction manual are all identical, so your'e probably best off going through ebay hong kong :)

No, No, Im not looking to scam anyone. I have a 100% feedback on Amazon... I would mention that the book is not included and sell the game for an appropriate price..

What I am basically trying to find out is if the game itself is the same as standard because I don't really want to start over you know if it is different in some way.

So the collectors edition box is sealed with plastic, but the game case inside is not?

Anyone here have the collectors edition and could please tell me the table of content of the ultimate guide? Just wanna see how many pages there are on "tuning". Also, are there any specific tunes for cars?? I mean, theres 300 pages of this book. What could be in it? This information can really help me before I go spend 30-40$ on a book.

Table of Contents of Apex book:

Chapter 1: Driving Techniques (pg. 21-72)
Chapter 2: Mechanism (pg. 73-120)
Chapter 3: Tuning & Settings (pg. 121-178)
Chapter 4: Photo Mode (pg. 179-190)
Chapter 5: Track Index (pg. 191-212)
Chapter 6: Car Index (pg. 213-303)

There aren't tunes for specific cars in the book. However, it does give you suggested settings for your car depending on the conditions you're racing in, like rain, gravel, racing on a high speed track or a technical track. It also has suggested settings and advice on countering oversteer and understeer. Not only that, it also has advice on tuning settings for each type of drivetrain in the game. It also goes into detail on how each suspension setting affects the car, drivetrain settings, how weight reduction and rigidity affects the car, and much more.

It's a really great book that I refer to when tuning in GT5 and I find it pretty easy to understand what it's talking about too. Definitely go for it. :)

Disk box is just the same but has a little "Not for resale" box in the rear. However, the codes for the 5 Chrome Line cars are inside of it. Regarding the Apex, it's a pretty complete and good-looking book with a lot of helpful info. I really reccomend it 👍.

Apex book is really useful and helpful. Also just to note that the game case and disc are silver instead of blue/red.
