GT5 corrupt data - destroyed my game :-(

SO last night as I loaded GT5 up it just crashed on the home screen (where you can pick arcade mode etc.) , initially i left it thinking it was taking a while but after 5 minutes I rebooted my PS3.

On startup it carried out a disk check thing as it said my hard drive was corrupt..."WHAT?!" i thought, PS3 slim 320gb bought in april '10. Barely used, and its got a corrupt drive.

It finished its thing I went to load GT5 and noticed my whole game had vanished. Checked saved games and it just had a nice chunk of 'corrupt data' - which I assume to be my 9month GT5 data.

Lost some treasures...X2010 gifted after Vettels F1 win. GT Academy Special Skyline GTR. :-(
Luckily all my Stealth and Chromeline models got gifted back to me so at least not everything disappeared.

I'd just won B spec Sarthe Circuit the other day too :-(
I had been Lvl 34 A Apec and Lvl 32 B Spec (with 6 drivers!)


So my question...anyway to recover or resurrect this?!!
 
No you had to have made a backup, on a USB device, then you can always recover your data! Now you have to start over, but if you search the marketplace forums,there's a sponge thread, in which you can borrow car which are not tradable and copy them into your new file. I do not know how it works exactlybut search and you will find it. Also money now is easily built together with tickets, so your back in no time.
 
Yes i know about backups now lol
I've had a 360 since 2007, and this has never happened to me.
