GT5 Data Corrupt

Hey guys on Dec, 23rd I was playing GT5 online and it froze. I had to hit the play station button to turn it off. When i turned it back on it told me that some data was corrupt. so i went into a file rebuild process. When it was done the only file that wasnt recovered was my gt5 file. I am just wondering why Grand Turismo dosent have an online record of me being a level 40 with all my cars. now i have to start from scratch, with nothing. I didnt have my data backed which is my fault but i think its bad on Grand Turisnos half that they dont have online records. Please give me your thoughts about this!
 
Gran Turismo has nothing to do with the fact that your data has been corrupted. It's your Playstation.
If you have Playstation Plus then it would upload your data online so you'd never lose it.
Or you can do what I and many others do, which is copy and save our game data to a USB stick regularly to avoid this from happening.
 
this happened to me once. Game crashed in the lobby, I killed the power and it ate the install.
Now i eject the disc when the game derps, and I cross my fingers.
Starting over again is no big deal, there's always shuffle racing.
 
I take you didnt do a game save then.
