Hey guys again,

I'm sorry I have to let you know (I know it is silly question)

Is anyone been experienced Playstation 3 not function when u put in the ps3 console then not working when come out "GT" on it? Well, I have been many time to do that and not function, I got Ps3 Radial disc cleaner from Game(uk) cost me £5......So my disc is damaged because it got lot of i dont know what the word.....so if i put on radial disc cleaner which way to anti-clockwise or clockwise (left or right)

Thank you,

Martyn

Ummmmm, pass. I am not entirely sure what you are saing in all of your message but if the laser isnt reading the disk there isnt a huge amount you can do. Those lense cleaners are a waste of money as far as i am concerned. Keeping the PS3 well ventilated and clearing the dust from it every so often i would have thought will work much better than having to clean the lense ince it gets too bad. Prevention is ALWAYS better than cure.

Personally I dont believe in such disc cleaners which claim to fix your disc if its scratched. But if you just clean it because there are finger-spots on the dish, some water would do just as good, but a lot cheaper.

And I dont suppose it matters which way you clean...

I wouldn't recommend cleaning radially at all, if there's a piece of dirt on the disc you will rub it along the 'grooves'. Better is to clean from inside out (perpendicular to the 'grooves').

To clean discs i use my silk rag for my camera lens. Use your hot @$# breath and wipe from center out. It doesnt scratch my lens so im pretty sure it wont damage the disc

OK so it's a disk cleaning question. The ONLY way you should clean a disk is with the same cleaner you would use for the lenses in your glasses and a LINT FREE cloth. Any cotton in the material will scratch the disk. The way to clean the disk is from INSIDE TO THE OUTSIDE EDGE. You shouldnt clean a disk in any other way or you WILL scratch it. Dont use any sory of polish at all just solution for glasses as all that goes is breaks down oil and grease. Anything else as has been said will also wear down the surface of the disk. This is somehting i know about being as I am an AV proffessional.

You'd have thought so, wouldn't you?

A few points here. First, if you have any doubts over whether you should be posting something, don't post it until you've asked a moderator. Don't go right ahead and post it anyway with "(am I allow to post that?)" nailed after it.

Secondly, what about our AUP would make you think you aren't allowed to talk about cleaning game discs?

Last and most important of all, your posts are almost utterly impenetrable. I've not actually seen a post from you that made any kind of sense - though I'm sure one in the fifty-odd probably does - and that is a requirement of the AUP. Take some time and care when crafting your posts and make them legible to as many as possible. If native English speakers can't make top nor bottom of your posts, what hope would any of our myriad English-as-a-foreign-language members have?
