GT5 Duplicate Cars

We all know it, to some extent GT-5 has premium and standard cars, masquerading as individual in their own right, when really they're not.

Whether they're a tiny modification, a year change, a variation in trim, I wanted to know how many cars were 'truely' in GT5.

Had a quick hunt on these forums and couldn't find it, so, I'm going to do the research myself.

I've started by collecting every standard and premium car that isn't DLC, and the starting number is 1036.

I'm going to go list all of the makes and models that I believe are duplicated, I'll try to be objective, but if there's any issue with my analysis, please quote me on which part and say why you think otherwise, and if there's a repeat car I've missed. I'll highlight Green cars that should be kept, and Red the cars which should be removed.

Acura
Cl 3.2 Type-S '03
Cl 3.2 Type-S '01

According to Wikipedia the CL 3.2 Type-S in 2003 saw only a cosmetic change, autoevolution lists all cars between 2001-2004 to weigh 1592kgs, so I can't see any reason to include a facelifted car, which somehow became lighter.

Alfa Romeo

147 2.0 TWIN SPARK '02
147 TI 2.0 TWIN SPARK '06

In 2004 the 147 received a facelift, there's no mention of any changes to its engine, so it shouldn't lose 2bhp, the Standard car should be removed.

Aston Martin

There is no difference at all between the original DB9 and the one produced in 2006, it officially didn't enter production until 2004, standard should be removed.

The model weight is listed as 1855kgs, the standard should be removed.

I believe Tornado had attempted a similar list, though I'm having trouble tracking it down. I did too at one point, but it was for personal use in Excel, and I never included the (handy 👍 ) explanations for why I'd delete things. I feel like my final number hovered around 700.

The important change for the CL was the addition of the six-speed manual for the 2003 car. That would probably explain the weight difference, too; the 2001 could've very well been modeled off the automatic version.
