I have had GT5 installed since 12/08/10 and i have been playing since until yesterday without a single issue. I had just reached level 21 and tried to load the Polyphony Cup (which i had played through numerous times before) and the game froze while trying to load the track. This alarmed me, since the game had not acted up even once since i purchased it. I restarted my PS3 and attempted to reload the game only to be welcomed with more freezing anytime i try to enter GT mode or the options. I immediately tried all the tricks i can think of, in this order, clean the disc (print free, hasn't left ps3 since i put it in!), delete and reinstall game data and patches (took FOREVER), try connecting without PSN sign in etc, etc. Why suddenly would this stop working? The only changes i made that day to the PS3 were the playlists that are attached to the in game and menu music. Not to mention after i made these changes i raced an entire championship without incident. I would just try turning this feature off, but the options screen gives me a solid grey (non-shimmering) GT5 logo as well.
