Hey, just wondering if anyone knew why a sim like GT5 doesn't engage the clutch properly? like when your stationary and you let the clutch get to its biting point the car doesnt move it just stalls? I thought they would of added this now that the G27 is fully supported.. would be a nice little feature to have also having it where the car "Kangaroo Jumps" for improper use of the clutch too for even better realism.

How should we know!

A bit less aggressive reply was okay too, you know?

Anyway to the topicstarted:

I don't know why GT5 doesn't support the clutch as in reallife. I think because originally, only the Logitech Driving Force GT (DFGT) was officially supported by the company. The DFGT does not have a clutchpedal, only gas and brake pedals. It also only has a sequential shifter.

Later, in an update, they also supported the G25/27. I believe while they were developing the game, they weren't assuming to officially support the G25/27, but only a handfull of other (less expensive) wheels which had no clutchpedal.
As soon as the game was released, people wanted support for the G25/27, and hence it became supported later.

This is why i believe the game doesn't realistically mimmick the clutch...
