GT5 Game Save Vanished!!

Hi, I just went to play and found when I loaded up that I was starting all over again as if I have not beem playing for the last 2 weeks. I was up to level 17 A spec, and level 12 B spec. Now all I am at level 0 again in everything. I have not done anything that should have caused this and have used PS3's for nearly 4 years and have only had this happen once before with GT5 Prologue. Can anyone say if I can get this back. How could this happen in the first place. Very frustraiting to have to do all those license test over now. I had a hard enough time the first time I golded them. I only had the S license's left to do. I had gold in A and B license and mostly Silver the others. I hope this is not going to be an ongoing thing.

That sucks. Did you in any way unusually turned off your PS3 ? or did something whether by accident or not that might caused this ? Was your power supply cut off while playing or while saving ? that happened to me....:(

Mine did something similar yesterday when updating to new ps3 firmware and new gt5 update. Lost all my premium content and all replays, pictures, all favorites reset, and had to create new thumbnails for every car in the garage

That make no sence, Why would anyone want to post crap. Maybe you are the Troll (whatever the hell that means). I have enough to do without wasting anymore of my time.

Yes I lost all saved data. I had not turned my PS3 off in any other way than the normal way. I do feel the update I had gotten recently may have done it but is no way I can be sure. I have no idea of what happened. It seems like it is harder for me to get the gold back in the license test then before I lost my data. Plus all my trophies that were in my trophie section of the PS3 Media bar are still there for the GT5. Who knows what or why I lost my game save but it is a great bummer to say the least. I am afraid I may never get back to some of the Golds I had earlier before not to mention some of the cars I had purchased and fixed up to my liking. Just got to keep pluging away I guess. I must have done something awfully stupid and wish I knew what it was , so I will not end up doing it again.
 
Maybe you turned your PS3 off when it was saving. A lot of people don't think that this does anythin, but it does.

In GT4 i was only a couple of endurance events away from completing the game when i was called in to have dinner by my parents, i told them i had half a lap to go and about 2 minutes later my step dad came in and shut my PS2 down while it was saving.

I lost everything!
 
Did you try doing the birthday trick and deleted the wrong account's data by mistake?

This also happened to me after the update the other night. Not overly bothered though because I am in process of selling my Phat PS3 and buying a new Slim PS3 and cannot copy the game save across to restore on new one because of stupid copy protection on it so I have to restart anyway. Seems to have kept my Photo Traveller pictures on the GT5 server though. Suppose thats something.

Just when I think Polyphony and Sony can't screw this game up any more than they have already this happens!!!
