Dumb question, but you did make sure to turn the glasses on right?

Make sure that the TV is calibrated properly, TVs nowadays don't always come calibrated out of the box there should be an option somewhere in your menu. You also may have to put it on the game setting for the picture. The game should run absolutely fine in any view mode while using 3D especially a Sony TV. Make sure you are using a HDMI cable also. Oh, and yes, don't forget to turn on the glasses! Hopefully something in my post can help you out.

no its becuase the interior view is so close that it crosstalks/ghosts really badly.

go to bumper view and you wont thave the problem.

i also have a 50" samsung 3d tv.

but to be honest i play in 2d as the frame rate in 3d is crappy, the 3d doesnt do a lot either.

i just stick to 3d films with the telly.

Make sure that your PS3's video output settings are set to HDMI, and that it has recognised that your TV is 3D, then run GT and it should automatically set to 3D. If it doesn't, go to the options in GT and find the option to turn 3D on/off.

My friend's Samsung has more than one 3D mode...

It has what seems to be an emulated 3D mode that you get by pressing the 3D button on the remote...

Then there is the "real" 3D mode that you enable from within the game options menu.

I noticed in the emulated 3D mode, the game menus were floating above the background. When the in-game 3D was on, the menus were flat and only the races were in 3D.

Fiddle with the settings in the 3D menu. There are 2 slider bars I think, or maybe they're just numbers, anyway... one is for the depth of the picture, the other is for how much it comes out towards you. You'll have to play with these settings to get it just right for you and the view you want to use. Also, when you are using the premium interior view you should be looking at the road, not the car, so outside will always look better.

BTW - by bumper cam do you mean the one that you can't see any of the car, just rev meter and speedo? Because if you mean the other one, that's roof cam, not bumper.

In the options menu, go to the 3D option, make sure its on.

Then set Parallax to about 6. 3 is ok for in car views, 9 is good for bumper cam (or whatever you want to call it) 6 is just in between, works well I find.

Set Convergence to 9, should get rid of the double image while in cockpit view.

I'm sure thats the settings I've used to get a good 3D image out of GT5. If its worse, then its the same numbers, just the other way around.
