Hello,

I've been thinking about downgrading from my current TV from a size POV (50" plasma), and was playing with the idea of getting a 42" LED 3D enabled TV. My question is, has anyone played GT5 in 3D and if you have, what is your opinion on it? Is it worth the extra money or does it not live up to expectations? Also how good is a LED tv, picture quality wise?

NOTE: Please point me to a already existing thread if there is one, although I have used the search function and it turned up with nothing.

I really like GT5 in 3D with the right settings. Cockpit view from a good car in 3D with right settings can be a very sublime experience. I think I use convergence 3 and parallax .85 and had to put my tv on game mode while in 3D to make it brighter. Good luck.👍

I bought a 3D TV about a year ago. I don't think it was much more expensive ($150.00 more?). I like having it but I don't use it alot. The 3D movies are excellent and the up conversion to 3D is fun also. There is alot more programming on Comcast now for 3D which I need to upgrade to. As for GT5, a standard car at Grand Valley is kinda plain. A premium car (Mazda Roadster TC cockpit view for example) at London will knock your socks off! COD Black Ops campaign mode is great, but online is kinda plain... no wow factor. Also, my TV came with 2 glasses. I bought an extra 2 which adds another $200. Is it worth it? I don't know. But it is fun, and you will get oohs and aahs and kids grabbing at stuff floating in the air.

Okay thanks for your input guys! Very helpfull :)

I'D say go for 3D but stick with plasma..panasonic in particular :D

One of many threads on the subject but OP is about should GT be 3D...

To answer that's thread's question for Kaz, adding 3D wasn't a waste of time. Kaz said it wasn't all that difficult to implement 3D into GT5. The thing with 3D is that it uses a lot of memory to work well enough. If GT5 were on the 360, it's probable that it wouldn't have been possible.
