GT5 Install

Hey, wonder if anybody can help.

I have a 250gb PS3, with 162gb remaining.

Anyhow, i got GT5 Signature Edition on the release date, i knew about the install, etc. I tried to install it, but it froze on "One Second Remaining" for about 20 minutes, so i cancelled the install. Anyhow, now i'm wanting to play online, you need to of done the install for it to work properly. I tried to do the install again and it froze at the "One Second Remaining" part again. I'd read on forum's the timer is inaccurate so i left it (for approx 4hour's).

When i came back, it was still on "One Second Remaining"

Anybody experienced this? Or anybody know if there's any quick fixes.

If i backed up my data onto a USB, deleted the GT5 data off my PS3 then tried to reinstall would my date on the USB work?

Any help is appreciated
 
Not sure if this will work but it might. At the main menu (GT mode, arcade mode, course maker etc) scroll accross to th options setting, the one that looks like a cog tooth & enter. Once inside scroll down to miscellaneous. Within this area choose network settings & select clear system cache & press okay. Don't worry it won't delete any of your saved files, cars & Monet accumulated so far. I had to do this today in order to download v1.5. Hope this helps.

Don't see why it wouldn't
You should be able to delete the game data without deleting the save itself anyway
