GT5 Installation Freeze

The bar has been stuck at 3 cm full for almost an hour, is this normal?
 
No, it isn't normal. The installation should take between 30 - 40 minutes. If you're experiencing long installation times I would advise that you stop it and restart.

PD found out about what you are trying to do and has blocked your PS3 from re-installing the data. Mwhahahahaha.....:trouble::D:p:gtpflag:

That doesn't sound normal at all considering mine only took about 30 minutes to download.

I'm glad I see someone else starting over along with me. ;)

Sorry for this put which one? My updates, as I get my GT5 in July, took something like 30-45 mins, and the install to HDD (quicker load times) took 45-60 mins. Hope this helps :)
 
I installed the updates in about 20 minutes, but whenever I try to install to HDD the bar jumps to 3 cm full then says there is 6 minutes left, but no matter how long I wait ( as long as 1 hr 30 min ) it just stays like that.
 
What I would do, if you haven't already done it. Is backup what you need to do on a stick. Delete everything gt related, update data, save game data etc. Disconnect the internet, then install from scratch. Then do the online updates.
 
Ive figured out why I can't install GT5, it's freezing during the install, I can tell because for the last half hour there has been no "installing" icon flashing in the corner. Also when i press cancel nothing happens. How can I fix this?

Help?

After doing this permanent trade glitch? Coincedence?
 
Try to turn off PS3/Unplug cable delete patch/installation data but not your game save and try again?

had the same problem tried installing on a freinds ps3 tried a hire disc still no good . Bought a new copy installed fine, the two dics appered fine but. So try a new disc

Yo i know its been a really long time i still have a ps3 and im trying to download that fast loading update but the game freezes at 50 sec remaining did this happen to you asswell
