GT5 loading times

hi too all, im writing to ask if anyone has noticed that the load times are long since gt5 spec 2 came out? is this just me or has anyone got the same problem, im sure it can't be my ps3 because it is only a month old, cheers

ps if this in the wrong place im sorry
 
Mine are actually quicker since 2.0. Don't know if it has anything to do with 2.0 exactly, but I have noticed the initial loading doesn't take as long. Once in the game everything seems the same until I load a race. The "track" seems to load quickly, but during the time I would usually be picking the tires and turning off the TCS I notice that the names of the competitors are slowing getting bright, as if the track loaded but the AI hadn't yet and is just now loading. If I don't need to make any changes and just want to race right away I have to wait a few seconds for the AI to load.

mine is the same as that. am i right in saying that it wasnt like that before?
 
My loading times have increased when using GT AUTO by a lot. When loading a track the preload helps a bit but not something important. There are times when an oil change might take even a minute to get back to GT life
 
It takes me literally 12 seconds to load a track.
 
^^^^ Twelve seconds or less is like that for Free runs and time trials. I love that.

Mine are faster too, with the AI loading. I guess that was just the slowest part, so they cut it out and let you mess with your settings while it loads. A few people have mentioned higher times, maybe for some reason your's loads the AI with the track.

Also, I do have an old fat. The type of PS3 doesn't affect it, i think...
 
mine takes 10 seconds :)
 
For me, after the Spec-II update....

Offline loading - Faster
Online loading - Varies, just like before the update
 
You can only adjust your settings while it loads the cars if you wait for several seconds after the menu comes up for the first cars to load. If you go straight into the settings screen as soon as you can you will have to wait for all of them to load after you are done.

Loading times for tracks/races are virtually unchanged from before, they just made it SEEM faster to appease the ADD kids who kept whining about how long GT5's quite short loading times were. Now you're just stuck listening to the two most horrid songs in the game for even longer(if you don't turn off all the other music to avoid them).
 
I found that only today my loading times have started going at a snails pace. I'm not sure what caused it but I tried all the solutions and nothing helped. I even crashed multiple times. :grumpy:

Before tonight everything was loading quicker after S2 so I'm not sure what has caused it. My PS3 also experienced a loading problem when deleting a pending FR which is the first time I've had that happen. It's only as old as GT5. :scared:
 
Loading the tracks is alot faster now. but last few days it does load slow in the menu's. its like its freezing for a minute or so and then moves one. don't know why.

Since my PS3 updated its firmware a couple of days ago GT5 takes ages to load a race and sometimes freezes and there are others with the same problem.
 
Lately (since I bought the DLC) I'm having problems with GT5, I had to delete the game data, redownload all the updates & install. I cleared the cache, I even tried playing while not signed into PSN & nothing has helped, loading times have got ridiculous & it's crashed a few times . All my other games are fine

i thought it might have been something wrong with my ps3 not the fact that it was and old fat one or a slim, i have both and wish my fat one was still working
 
Just timed it. It came out to be 8.324 seconds for me to load up the Nurb.
 
I find that it takes longer sometime to start the game. Waiting right now 3 minutes plus already and I am just looking at lovely race cars. Almost like it's stuck. Reset the Router and have restarted 3 times. This rarely used to happen.
 
so it looks like im not the only one with this problem then
