GT5 Makes Me Hate Ford Focus

I have been a long time player of the Grand Turismo series. Since the first one came out and I played it at a friends, It made me go out and buy my first Playstation and GT1. Was very happy with GT2, and 3. Loved GT4 as well, even though I hated the test with the McLaren SLR on the ring. I think it was called R34? It made me detest the McLaren SLR!

I know I'm getting up in age and the reaction time is just not that great as it once was. I have golded every version of the GT series 1-4. It took me a while but I'm not a bad driver considering I only use the pad. Even though I fly RC helicopters and aircraft with stick radios, I just could never get the hang of driving with the joy sticks.

Now the darn Ford Focus in the second series race! I have wasted a total of 6+ hours trying to gold this! What a lump of steaming turd that Focus is! I spent 21 minutes smashing the car into on coming traffic after losing by 2 seconds for ? time! What I'm getting at is! Why would they make it so hard to do? I'm a average driver and it frustrates the crap out of me to the point of hating the Ford name! Not very good for getting the licence for future games! The majority of people that try to enjoy the game are just average drivers, if they hate it or get frustrated they will stop playing! Not good for business!

I'm not saying make the game super easy but let's be reasonable! Most people do not have a wheel to drive with or the extra money to go buy one just to play GT5! Is that what I have to resort to? A wheel of some sort? If so, that sucks! Just like the SLR McLaren in GT4, I hate the Ford Focus now!

ps: What the hell did PD do to the F1? Another steaming lump of turd! The Red Bull X2010? Oh that's real! who is going to drive it? A robot? Or would it be radio controlled? No human could survive the G's for more than a few minutes let alone a crash! Give your head a shake PD! What happened to The"real" driving simulator?
 
why do people get frustrated when there are challenges you can't beat? I doubt people ace every trophy/achievement in other games either, like in guitar hero you know there are challenges you can never beat,but it doesn't stop you enjoying the game?
 
First of all relax a little. Maybe all you need is a break, do a few license tests, or do other events you haven't completed yet. Maybe you are just over thinking things?
 
Slowly walk away from the ps3...slowly...nobody needs to get hurt here.
 
Nobody can be the Seasonal Challenges? That's funny since I've gotten gold on all 10 of them. I'm going to suggest using the search button for the Focus one because some people on here had a setup that worked wonders.
 
Thanks for the tips and advice guys! I know I can do this as I have done the others with not much issue! I know I have the most problems driving the front wheel drive cars! The Mini though, I got on the first try!
 
It's the same with the Fiat 500 in the first set, I'm thinking every group of events is gonna have one race that just annoys the hell out of everyone.

I watched the video and noticed my first 3 laps are better or the same as yours, I just cant seem to put together the fourth and final lap! Your fourth lap was very bad but your last lap was amazing. I wish I could see your sector times in the replay! I mostly drive out of car (from my RC car racing mindset) but I can drive in car, I will give it a go in the next day or so!

Your set up is a godsend! Thank you very much! I won first try after one lap of practice getting a feel for your settings! I would be much richer if I had your settings yesterday! I would not have wasted 6 hours!

Thanks again, but I still hate that Ford!
