Hello
ers!
Wanted to see if there's any interest to run a multi-class 3 hour endurance race on Nürburgring 24h with realistic settings and no aids (ABS1), with time and weather change.
The catch is that all the participating cars would have to be exclusively road cars.
Racing Medium tyres max.
And apart from the classifications below, I would like to make it mandatory that all cars have installed Titanium Racing Exhaust and a rear Wing, but no Extension (as to not disadvantage standard cars).
Ideally there would be 4 racers for each Tier. If one of the Tiers isn't popular, we could remove it and thus have more drivers in the other Tiers. Hopefully there would be at the very least 2 Tiers of cars, otherwise the purpose of the race is void (to have multiple classes of cars racing).
Tier 1
Minimum 5000cc
Maximum -
BHP 700
KG 1400
Tier 2
Minimum 4000cc
Maximum 5000cc
BHP 600
KG 1400
Tier 3
Minimum 3000cc
Maximum 4000cc
BHP 500
KG 1400
Tier 4
Minimum -
Maximum 3000cc
BHP 400
KG 1400
Do you like the idea of cars being split by the size of their engine? Should we get rid of it altogether or maybe allow specific cars to be allowed to run in a different tier (for example the DB9 has a 5935cc engine which would place it into Tier 1, but with a 650BHP maximum, it’s outmatched, so maybe allow it to enter Tier 2).
Another thing I'm considering is if we should make each class have a specific color. This idea comes from the faster cars at the 24 Hours Nürburgring which have flashing blue LEDS on the side of the front windshield, as to let other drivers know that they are in the faster cars and as such should be let to pass.
Having a specific body paint for each class would allow the drivers in that class to recognise one another from afar.
For example: Any blue from Solid, Metallic, Pearl, Matter. Excluding Colour Shift and Chrome for obvious reasons.
Rim color would obviously be let at the drivers choice.
Please post your thoughts and ideas, and let's see where this goes.
