Anyone here like multi-class racing? I have been hosting a multi-class racing server already today at Circuit de la Sarthe, and a lot of people thought it was interesting. I made 3 kinds of classes be allowed to race....LMP,GT500, and GT300. People joined quickly and soon it was full. Some drivers were LMP and some GT. There was a big difference between the classes, and soon I put the hp cap of 601 hp. The LMPs were still faster than the GTs that time because of the difference of car weights.
I've seen most crashes done by LMPs, but overall the LMPs stayed with each other. We had some really cool races. Once done with 16 drivers turned out to horror as it was night and everyone was nervous in the first couple of corners. There was load of lag too and 2 people lost connection.
Later everything was fine. Races got interesting between GTs because everyone stayed close to each other. LMPs really pulled the gaps between GTs.
Multi-class racing is not bad. People in the server agreed they liked it. If only you could restrict it to 2 or more types of cars because then people with red bull x1s wouldn't be entering free run.
I think my server is up still right now. It's called LMP AND GT (MULTI). I don't know how many people are there but after I left there was still 15. I host these kinds of servers when I'm online.
