For whatever reason I cant seem to find any other threads related to my problem except for a very small number of people on another forum. When I tried to download the 1.06 patch last night it showed up as over 1000 minutes estimated remaining, so i figured the servers were clogged up from so many people.
I tried again this morning and it dropped down to about 180 minutes so i figured id wait it. However, it stopped at 45% and gave me a 'failed to download' message and I had to start over. The estimated counter started back up at over 1000 minutes remaining again. I tested my ps3 network speed and it shows up as normal (2.4Mbps download/300kb/s upload). I even downloaded a 70mb video from the playstation store in 3 minutes. So then I tried downloading the patch again and it still wont budge from over 1000 minutes.
This is completely insane for a 301mb patch. I even deleted all my gt5 install data and cleared the network cache and nothing helps, now I am stuck with a 600mb update from 1.00 and the download wont even show an estimated time left counter.
I figure that polyphony's servers are totally overloaded right now since i can still download perfectly fine from the playstation store. However, if that would be the case then I dont see how there arent any other threads like this.
