GT5 not starting?

sorry if this is in the wrong place but my GT5 isnt starting...the internet icon is flashing and its a bright screen...I have the slim so i cant reset using to button.....do i pull the cord???? I really dont want to corrupt anything...

Does the PS button still respond and take you to the home screen? If it does just go on to that and quit game
 
PS button did not work, I had to pull the plug, it was just a server issue

when I restarted it just said connection could not be established, so its all good minus the connection right no

sorry for taking up a post for this, not sure if anyone else has this problem right now too, take care!!! love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!! level 26!!!!!!!!!!!!
