GT5 not working

Morning folks,

Not happy, tried to play GT5 last night and it appears my son has been doing something he shouldnt!!!!

When i try to go online with GT5 the messages:

'A connection to the server could not be established.(ID=1:536)'

and....

'The PS£ system has been disconnected from the media server'

....any idears on what he has done?

I can still access Netfix etc (so at least the wife is happy) but not online play.
 
Alot of people have been getting these errors lately.
He didn't do anything. Its an issue with the game server, that's why you can get on netflix.
If you use the search function on the top right of the forum, you will see how many people have been
having these issues :)
 
any idears on how to rectify the problem so i can play online?

Just checked MW4 and that plays ok online just GT5.

I was having the same issue a few days ago and i ended up watching
Netflix for a few hours and it was working again.
I had that error yesterday, turned off my PS3 and when i went back into the
game, i was able to play.

Edit: Just noticed the "MW4" :crazy:

Ive tried it this morning and still nothing, so im deleating ALL the GT5 data from my ps3 and now reinstalling it, if that works then i will reistall the game play (cars etc) from my usb and see if that works.

I know he was on about these 'Hacked' cars, thought he may of gotten one and its Sony who have blocked my machine. but if your saying you have had the same and its working again im feeling a little more relieved lol
 
Yes, alot of people have been having the same error codes and not 100%
sure as to why. I do not use any hacked cars, so not totally that. Well,
hopefully that works for you :)

Lol, i was laughing because Modern Warfare 4 is not out yet, it is coming
out November 2013. There is a "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare". But the highest
MW is MW3 right now :)
 
lol, im old i get things muddled up.....
Just been looking online and it appears to be a world wide thing...

Perhaps ony are doing some to prevent hacked cars?

...and it was Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 lol
 
I have seen a few people say about Sony trying to prevent hacked
cars, but who knows! Well hopefully you can get online soon. My husband has
been playing for a few hours. Seems the errors come and go.

Mw2 is probably my favorite of the Mw's
 
Sadly i have not played much COD4. I didn't really get into gaming until around
the time MW2 came out. So as far as COD goes, i've played alot of WAW, MW2,
MW3, BO, BO2. I've played BO2 the most. I think about 12-13 days, almost Prestige 8
 
Since the thread is totally off-topic now :lol:...
I still maintain Black Ops 2 is the best, so far. :sly:

Haha, Call of Duty :) .... and i dont even play cod anymore... After cod 4 mw i moved to Battlefield... and i cant wait for BF4 and GT6 :ouch:.
 
This error code should not really affect you being connected to PD Servers....

I got same error code twice. but when you jump in GT Life. Should be connected. the Error code should not be a issue.

Not true for me, I couldn't connect anywhere throughout the game last night, GT Life, OCD, Seasonals, nothing. It connected to PS3 store so it was not my network or Sony servers, connected to BF3 game servers. It does seem to be an issue only in GT5 and PD. I have no hacked cars or anything else in my game or on the PS3 and all software is up to date.

Restart PS3?
 
I would venture to guess that we are having this problem maybe because PD is diverting some servers to test GT6? Just a thought. Started having the same problem a few weeks ago but lately haven't had any issues.

Restarted game, PS3 etc, no good. Other thread says it was starting to come back up after 7pm CDT, I was on between 5-6pm CDT last night. Won't get to check until after work today. I hope it is working, the Mini seasonals look like fun 👍
