GT5 Online related problem. DMZ?

Hi! well for a fairly long time I have been haveing a problem with GT5 Online Where certain people uhh... block (not really sure if it's their fault) me from getting in lobbies or from staying in the lobbies because a friend told me that this problem is fixable by DMZing it. What's DMZ?

I am on rogers Wireless HUB, im hardwired to my router, don't know my internet speed, Im NAT Type 3

and I don't have this problem on any other game including but not limited to dirt 3, BF3, MW3

and I've dealt with it but it seems to be getting worst

and it seems to be changing too, like some people I could see them and get into thier lobbies but now I can't.
 
DMZing means you'll open all ports on the PS3, usually to improve connections. At least, that is what I read about it.

Dunno. I think you have to do something to the router, but I never heard of DMZing until now.
 
so I set my router to DMZ and Im gunna give it a try fingers cross!!
 
nah don't think it worked cause I still can't get into specific lobbies


well I think it kinda worked cause im in a lobby with a couple of people that have the disconnect shady bar thing under their name and I can't see them but im not getting kicked

You should only set your router to DMZ the PS3, not everything! :scared:

I hope the video will explain it and hope you get it fixed.
 
Dmz means de militarized zone.

By doing this your ps3 will no longer be protected by the firewall, and it makes it easier for people to connect to you.

All you need to do is add your ps3 ip to the dmz host query in your router.
And add dns info.
