PD have made quite a few changes to the game where something has been changed across the board only to be changed back again in a following update. Often these changes are liked by some users and not by others. The dynamic chase cam changes are an example as is the cockpit view shake and there have been others. Giving users the option to play the game in the way they want to would make for an even happier community of racers.
Is it because PD aren't open minded enough to think users might prefer things differently from each other?
Do they just change things back if so many people shout loudly enough without considering the happy users who aren't so vocal but prefered changes or the way the software worked previously?
Is there a technical reason on the PS3 that makes it more difficult to give more options within a game?
Is it just easier to replace code and not worry about designing variable data fields (switches or sliders) that have to be referenced by the game with each race or whatever part of the software is affected?
Or is there another reason?
