GT5 P tuning advice good enough for Forza?

I have tuned many cars on prologue & other Gran Turismos, but i have never played Forza, my buddy hates Gran Turismo, but he keeps asking me how to tune certain cars of his. (he also lives 700mi away, so i can't really go over to his house to see what he's doing wrong) So, should i just give him advice I have learned through Gran Turismo since both games are top notch racing sims, GT being the more realistic one.
 
They are quite similar and on forza there's info next to the part you tuning that tells what the part does and how to tune it.
 
Does this mean my friend's an idiot, or just someone who want's advice from someone who plays Gran Turismo way too much? lol
 
Oh, ok thanx, he will really appreciate this, if he doesn't I will personally B-slap him. lol
