GT5 Problems

So i was doing the like the wind b spec race and towards the end of the race i had some problems
I finished in first position, but after crossing the finish line, the usual screen of all the car's laptimes did not come up
I slowly drive round the track forever.
I cannot press start and quit the race.
The only button on my controller that works is the PS button but quitting to the XMB makes the screen go blank and nothing happens.
I can't switch my ps3 off with the button on the front, i have to flick the switch on the back
Its happened to me a few times now and seems to happen at about lap 16.
Any ideas why?
 
I was just doing an A spec race then and when i paused the game it didnt come up with the pause menu. The screen just froze.
When i finished the race the same thing happened where the menu didnt pop up and it just kept going round.
 
It may sound daft but i had this a few times, the game freezing usually on Endurance races left to run overnight. I had my wheel in one usb port and a cable in the other with a usb hub connected to it for extra usb ports. If I removed the cable and usb hub before i start the Endurance race and it does not happen, sometimes if i forget and leave it connected the game has froze when i wake in the morning .. I wonder if using both usb ports is the problem ? As i say when only 1 is used it has never froze.

I havent changed any of the usb slots since i last played though so i dunno.

Let me know if it is the same for you , as i would like to source the problem myself too,mine is only 2 months old and has froze since i started Endurance races. I keep it on a laptop fan and in the open next to a breezy window so i don't think it is a heat issue.

Seems to have worked for the moment.
Very odd
Will post back if i get it again.
