There are 1000 cars in game but most of them are standard and doesnt get the same graphic details of the premium cars
(not all of them but the Dodge Ram Pickup truck ram for example it has GT4 graphics).

The graphics of the car inside the game its like it doesnt blend with the road and graphics in game..... its like its separated even the color details its very different everything is very different and reduced only the shapes are the same.

If GT5 Prologue has better graphics

after more than 3 years why does GT5 have way way worse graphics?? is it because the game is too big??

if the game is having a problem with its too big then they shouldnt be having extra stuffs like B-Spec or standard cars because they are all just extra's most people would like to concentrate on the big bits and have the best out of it not have a lot of bits and have the worst out of it.

Nah, the graphics at their best in GT5 are the best seen on any console to date, but that is the problem, it depends on what your looking at. Most cars, and some tracks look way below anything in Prologue.

Discharege are you to be taken seriously with 3 post?

It really does depend on what you are looking at, and the inconsistency is unfortunate. For example, there's premium car interiors that look fantastic, then you get inside the Civic Type R, and the Lotus Elise, and they look like garbage. Even with the limitations this game brings, they dropped the ball big time there. Give me 15000 polys for that Lotus interior, and 2 1024 texture maps, and I will give you improvements. I'm not boasting about my 3D work, I'm just saying the quality of that interior is very disappointing.

Lotus is the exception, as it is the one and only interior that looks like an epic fail graphically. I am actually glad it is like that in the game since it is so lol worthy.

I was wondering if the radio in a lotus elise really looks like that...

This thread merits a big WHATEVER.

Although... the textures are slightly lower than GT5p, so you kinda have a point... but screw graphics and all the whores who support her, gimme the content.

When I first got in the Lotus, I thought the interior was made that way. It did seem odd for such a great car to have sub par interior. Also the Elise on Top Gear is a beast to handle. Got to bring your A game when taking that challenge.

I was wondering about the radio too, haha. The gauges are so blurry too, I can't use them. I want to try to use the car gauges as much as I can, but it's near impossible sometimes. I did find this that I think might be a bit more accurate.

Also, the Elise has such a simple interior, so what gives?

The poly count and detail is way higher in GT5 though, so he doesnt have a point.

Well no, he does still have a point since he was correct in regards to textures, it's just that his point was totally nullified by what you said.

There are more cars on the track now (12->16), so PD had to make some cut backs on the graphics since prologue. I'd be fine with 12 and prologue graphics, rather than the cutbacks they've made, but oh well.

It does, it looks bad. Should we talk about how it drives too? HA!

Dynamic lighting is the big change. Prologue looks sterile though. GT5 less so, and some tracks are better like Suzuka and Fuji

I think the graphics look pretty darn good. Are you guys all playing on HDTV's with HDMI cables? Or playing on the old tubes?

I see people saying they have a hard time reading the gauges but I don't understand that really. I sit about 15 feet away from my 32" 1080p 120hz Samsung LED TV and have no problem at all seeing/reading anything including the menus.

Only thing graphically that bugs me about this game is the shadows. Everything else makes me smile like I was when I was a little kid at Christmas :D

GT5 Prologue i think has the better driving simulation too.

Its more of an under steer version of GT5P this GT5....

Nah, GT5P did not have a better driving simulation at all.

I'm talking about the actual car gauges, not the HUD. Drive an Elise 111R, you'll see what I mean.

If you use a pad, it will feel understeery because GT5 limits how much you can turn the front wheels with a pad, depending on your speed, otherwise it will be very twitchy like in the Time Trial. Use a steering wheel and you'll feel the proper physics

And Prologue can't do this...

LOL man, are you serious? I just cant stop being amazed by strange people saying ********, like forza 3 graphics is way better than that of GT5 or Prologue vs GT5.

Gran Turismo 5 has NOTICABLY better graphics then GT5 prologue!!! It concerns not only cars (premium of course) but also track details - that why, by the way, we have long load times in GT5 versus prologue. Take a look at road, smoke, cars itself etc, etc, etc, they are sometimes way better in GT5

This man has his head fixed on correctly 👍

I do a comparison between two - and one thing that better in GT5P is shadows in the cockpit ("self-shadows").They are way too low resolution in full GT5 and makes the cockpit cam game play virtually unplayable (for me).
