GT5 Question

Being someone who didn't really pay any attention to GT5; and it's delayed arrival; I have a few questions:

1. When did we first get told/shown our first sign of GT5?

2. How long after this did GT5 Prologue come?

3. How long after this, did GT5 finally appear on shelves?

1. Back in 2005

2. I think it was back in 2008 October or November that PD released GT5P so that was three years after the first vision of GT5.

3. 2 years later after Prologue we were given GT5 November 2010.

Also people tend to forget that PD were making a GT HD but it was a failed attempt and thus the game development for it went into GT5 1.0 and GT5P as well as bit to GT5PSP. GT HD to me shouldn't be an excuse to why PD took so long.
