Getting my copy tomorrow and never having played GT Mode on any Gran Turismo (even though I played them on Arcade Mode), some questions popped through my head:

- Is money really hard to get? I've seen a lot of topics about getting money and stuff, but is it like since the first races or it starts to get hard on the higher levels?

- How much time does it take to complete it? Are the races like NFS Shift where you buy one car, tune it and you can go through one ''tier'' completely?

- How are the physics compared to other racing games? Specially NFS Shift, because that's the only game I have that comes close to a simulation game.

- Are there any tips you guys feel like sharing? Not exploits or bugs or such, but tricks that might help me since its the first time I'm playing GT Mode, like a good starting car or anything like that.

Less than 24 hours till I get my hands on it, sorry, can't help myself :dopey:

my advice is do licenses and special events first.

I was level 13 and 800k before I even raced a spec, now I'm lvl 18 and have only done 4 cups.

The money isn't hard to get really, but the other GT games would let you re-win prize cars, so you could sell them, re-do the event and repeat to boost cash. This game only lets you win a prize car once, so you are limited to the amount of credits the actual race gives you.

You will need many different cars for the "tiers" in this game. Some may require an FR car, while others will need a car manufactured before 1979. So you can't uy one powerful car and blast through a "tier."

The physics are completely different than Shift, much more realistic.

The best tip I can give you is have fun. I remember playing the original GT for the first time and it was incredible. There are only a few premium cars you can start with (I think a Honda and a few Mazda's) so don't expect to be able to buy a bunch of supercars right off the bat.

My responses in red.

my advice is the opposite, don't bother with the licences, the specials are OK for getting some good XP but wouldn't obsess over any one thing. If you crack on with the races you soon start getting into the races that pay big bucks, you can do them as many times as you want and you arewinning lots of cars while you are doing it

One more question!

- What's EXP based on? You get a predetermined amount or it depends on how well you perform?
