GT5 Save transfer problem.

I searched but nothing similar showed up.

I have gt5 v1.11 save backed up on usb stick.

Now I am trying to move my gt5 save to another ps3. Same account name, same player profile. I am not duping or doing anything crazy just want to get my save working on my friends ps3 so we can play arcade together using my garage.

My friend has gt5 installed and updated to the most recent version 1.12.

I create my player account and log in using my existing online account everything the same as on my ps3. After I move the gt5 save and go in to the game the cars and all of the progress is missing. The game stars everything from scratch.

The gt5 save on usb is 158kb and the file that gets transferred is 147kb the file description on usb and the transfered file is the same, jsut the size that gets changed. I tried various thing but the game dosnt want to load my save.

Any ideas or help are welcome. Thanks.

Yup, mines over 4500kb. Check it against your save on your home PS3. Might just need to back it up again.

Alright I backed up the file again.

size on my ps3 1440 kb

size on usb 1440 kb

size after transfer to another ps3 1320 kb

game does not load my save file

deleted save on my personal ps3 and loaded usb save...works fine

Update your own game to 1.12, then save to usb, and retry.

Maybe the problem is that the save is v1.11 and the game is updated to v1.12.

That is what I am thinking, I wont be able to update my ps3 for a while.

What if I delete the game data and copy over my save and then update the game?

Anyone know or has tried this?
