GT5-SCOL is a weekly race league. We race every Saturday Night at 10pm (GMT) and have many practice sessions throughout the week.

Our races are approx 87.5 miles per race and usually takes between 40 and 75 mins with a 30 min qualifying session before hand.

We also have our own LIVE qualifying boards which updates our drivers with current qualifying times via laptop, computer or smart phone.

We have room for 5 more drivers to join our league so if you enjoy competitive clean racing and would like to join us please either send a PSN message to robgroove with GT5SCOL in the subject or come along to our forum and fill in the apilcation form.

The majority of our drivers are in the UK but EVERYONE is welcome..

A. Pre-Race Rules
1. All Drivers must Register on the http://www.GT5-SCOL.co.uk forum site and Acknowledge the rules by way of replying to the thread posted below the rules.

2. All Drivers must use vehicles based on Race Event requirements. Using the wrong car will see you disqualifyed.

3. Qualifying will start at the scheduled time in which each driver will have 30 mins to qualify.

4. All drivers MUST be on the track at the end of the qualifying session for the times to register, Anyone not on the track when the timer hits 30 mins will start at the back of the grid.

5. Once everyone has left the track you must wait for the host to text the starting grid results. When this happens the driver in "1-" must "Go to track" and park on the track approx 500 meters after the pits. Driver in Grid Position 2 must then park up behind 1st. 3rd place behind 2nd etc etc untill every driver is lined up in grid order. Once we are set, the race will start.

6. Any drivers who mis-behave during pre race grid check will be disqualifyed.

7. Mic chat will be allowed in the Qualifying room but not in the race room to cut down on unnecessary texts which can lead to putting other drivers off.

B. In-Race Rules
1. Every Driver must permit faster drivers to pass unobstructed.
a) Last 2 Laps of Race drivers are permitted to use block techniques.
b) Initial build up of traffic is expected; follow proper techniques on allowing faster vehicles to

overtake.
2. No intentional contact upon other vehicles.
a) “Bumping” is permitted in minimal techniques.
b) Violations will be determined post-race by Race Officials.
3. Team drafting/racing is permitted.

C. Point System
1. All results will be finalized 24 hours after race event finished.
2. If you loose your connection to the race and have completed no less than 50% of the race distance

you will be awarded 50% of the points allocated to your position lost.

1st place 25 points
2nd place 18 points
3rd place 15 points
4th place 12 points
5th place 10 points
6th place 8 points
7th place 6 points
8th place 4 points
9th place 2 points
10th place 1 point

D. Penalties
1. If your found guilty of an in race driving offence by the race officials (after the race) you're finishing time will have a 45 second penalty added. However if it does not effect your position an added penalty will be used to take away %50 or your race points.

File a race complaint!
Incidents won't be investigated unless a complaint has been raised to one of the race officials with the SCOL Complaint Form which you can find right below the Current Season Track List
 
Season 4 Race 2 report. Written by HortusIX

Before this new season started there were some new changes to GT5-SCOL including a change to the qualifying and race start format, a new complaints procedure, an update to the rules and two new Race Officials (myself and twistedfirework). Also, thanks to Rob, the leaderboard now looks a lot better than it used too. A little bird tells me there's even more improvements to come though

Rome:

Firstly, thanks to all of the drivers who turned up for the first race - it's been a while since we had such a large turnout and I hope that everybody who has shown interest in the new season so far will continue to attend in the upcoming events.

The race itself itself didn't get off to the best of starts due to some connection issues which meant we had to change race lobbies several times so sorry to everybody for the confusion and the delay but with this being the first race since the change in the qualifying and race-start procedure, you couldn't be blamed for thinking that there would be some teething problems anyway, but all in all - with the earlier connections issues aside - the new format seems to have worked well.

Congratulations go to Rob for making it a double success by taking pole and winning a well fought race in a car he'd been keeping secret all week. It was tense battle and I knew keeping up with him would be tough but I hope I did enough to ensure he felt like he'd at least earned the win at the end.

Comiserations go to unlucky Josh who had some lag issues. He'd managed to qualify in 2nd position after putting hours and hours of practice in but unfortunately was dropped to the back of the pack on the first lap due to an unusual lagging glitch. The same happened again on lap two and, even though he showed determination to fight his way back through the field, he suffered a disconnection later on and was booted out of the race.

It has been decided that no penalties will be issued to drivers as a result of the post-race complaints received as the incidents in question do not show any blatant disregard to others which resulted in direct damage or loss of position.

All-in-all though, a good race by all...

But now we move on to Madrid. The forecast? - Scorchio!
 
It was another EIPC race this week as the track didn't have any pits meaning we had to race a total of 74 laps round London on one set of tires. It was a challenge which taught us much about conserving tire wear.
