Hi everyone, I haven't posted here for a long time, but I'm excited to say I'm planning on buying a seat for my Logitech G27.

The only thing is though, I don't know what to purchase. Originally I had my mind set on the playseat evolution, but the speedmaster 2.0 black edition looks tempting. Does anyone have either of these, any thoughts on the two? :)

I have a modified Playseat Alacantera (spelling?) and I wouldn't trade it for the world. The seat is very comfortable (been known to fall asleep in it a time or two ) and it is plenty sturdy enough.

Can you recline the seat back or raise the thigh support on the seat for a reclined position ?

I have a playseat evo and its great. Had it for three years and 60k miles of butt cheeks and still looks great (white seat gray frame). It's comfortable and the bar between your legs never gets in your way.

No recline ability but you can get an optional slider to move the seat in and out. And make sure to get the shifter mount! I got a neck rest an spacefoam pillow for a backrest and I play all video games in it. Hours of call of duty!

If I were you I'd go for the Speedmaster. I've had a Playseat Evo since 2009, & it's great for sim racing, but there are problems. The pole in between your legs will get in the way if you use a G27 (not if you use a DFGT), but you'll get used to it. Also, I found the seat very uncomfortable on my back, & had to buy a lumber support for it, I know of others who had to do the same. It's not very adjustable either, for instance; if you want the wheel in a higher position but with the same distance, you will have to move the pole in between your legs futher back to compensate, which will make it more awkward to brake.

The Speedmaster looks much better imo, & I'd rather have that than the Playseat anyday.

👍

I have a Playseat Evolution and a second knockoff one. They are okay but I plan to probably upgrade to a RSeat Evo 3. I believe the price between them is minimal but the quality is huge. Plus no center post.
