I'll post a pic tomorrow morning when I get up. I just was tuning on of my my 'Cudas for drag racing and I purposly drove into to the wall at Indy and the car instantly went straight up and was standing on it's front end. So I replayed it and went into photo mode and got real close to the car and stood next to it, only to find out that the car is just a shell lol. There is nothing underneath, just black, and standing next to it, you can tell. Like I said, I'll post a pic later for all you doubters.

They did a horrible job modeling the underside of the cars for GT4, and the cars with cockpit views in GT5 still have a pix-elated horrible looking underside for most cars... :(

In GT: PSP the standard cars were hallow too, but still had cockpit views. Nothing but black inside. But, they're standard cars. So, what did you expect? :sly:

Welcome to the world of 3D graphics.

You don't model something that can't be seen...

I think the lack of modelling on the underside of premiums in a game where cars can flip over is a bigger issue.

It's not real you know....

It takes an unbelievable amount of effort to flip over cars in GT5 anyway, compared to real life (and when they do in GT5, almost every time they fall back on their wheels), so it's not a big problem --- or at least this is what PD probably thought in my opinion.

Personally, I'd prefer them to fix this (deliberately put, in my opinion, and unrealistic) behavior before they start to work on underside textures, although I agree they do look quite bad on premium cars.

Why not make them hollow if there isn't any interior?

Women at shopping malls are often hollow to...more often shallow though.

What did you expect? Did you want the springs inside the seat to be modelled as well in case god forbid the seat tears open?

A lack of underside modelling? I haven't actually noticed that.

I want the molecules of the springs of the seat modeled
.

I want exhaust gases to be seen! With authentic smell from the TV!!! And global warming in the GT world contributing to increased track temperatures and tyre wear!!!

 got carried away...

This has been discussed before, in greater depth and with pictures. Nothing new here. Nothing to see.
