now that some people discuss the clutch for gt5, i hope the game would support heel toe down shifting. that would be sweet . rather than the game does it for you, you have to heel toe manually to smoothen your drift and turn. i just want to know other's opinions

Clutch is very easily done via a paddle. On my Thrustmaster Ferrari FFB wheel + pedal setup, I have a sequential shift stick on right side of the wheel. I also have a paddle on both sides of the wheel (physically stuck to the wheel). It's very easy to use the left paddle as a digital clutch since I keep my hand on the wheel, and use right hand on the shift stick. I use this combination in Live For Speed which supports clutch. The game itself supports all kinds of clutches, whether it be a button (digital) or a pedal (analog). I can shift extremely fast using my paddle as a clutch.

I would love logitech to produce a steering wheel with a full H-pattern gearbox attachment, a handbrake and three pedals just like it should be. Maybe a shift light on the steering wheel too. I know it's a lot and it may cost a bit but i couldn't see any other way of enjoying GT to the full without having a full set of controls (making the experience as lifelike as possible). Although GT itself would have to implement clutch controls and make sure the cars act like they should when you change down and letting you match engine speed to gearbox speed etc. But i think that PD could pull it off without a hitch if they tried. Dreams eh!!! :(

I said this many times on many fora (forums), I wish that it would be possible for "interactiveracing (BRD), to make their "hardware" compatible with the PS3 and even the Xbox360 (if they have realistic hardcore sims) :dopey:

I have been (practising spelling??) to heel & toe with the speed7 and GTR quite some time now. It is fun!!!!! :) It would be very nice to be able to (at last) use a clutch in the GT series.

Surely that would be "PS3 started to support PC hardware"?

C.

Support for PC hardware is software based. A example of this is Kill Zone for PS2, you can use keyboard and mouse to play this game!!! 👍

what would be even more awsome would be force feedback pedals.. but that sounds really expensive. Imaginfe feeling the Difference between a light and heavy clutch as you switch between cars.... :scared: and getting feedback through your breaks too.

Good thing I didn't waste $150 on a DFP... I might as well sell my DF now.

Out of curiousity, but are there any wheels that come with a 3rd clutch pedal for sale?
These are my favourite, not compatible with PS2, maybe it will with PS3(???). I have been using these for about a year and since november I use them to play GTR (real working clutch; slipping, heel & toe, etc... :sly: )
