(not sure where to put this exactly, maybe it could go into either the tuning or the photomode folder, so feel free to move this)

So, I've been fascinated with the quick-as-lightning, high-power cars we know as time attack cars or hill climb cars. They're not used for racing; rather, they're used for breaking time records like the ones at Pikes Peak, or like these:

Anyways, I have been trying to collect and tune a lot of cars so that they replicate these fast cars.

So, what I have to ask is, do you have any of these fast cars that you've tuned that can accelerate and corner exceptionally?

Post pictures and tuning information about them here! I would surely love to see your amazing machines as well!

It's going to be pretty hard to replicate some of them, as their power can be far beyond what GT5 allows you to upgrade a car to, same goes with the weight.

There are a few hill climb/ time attack cars in gt5, but I would love to create some. We will be able to create some when we have more realistic aerodynamic and chassis tuning.

I'll just leave these here...

Oh and generally speaking there are some key differences between hillclimb and "time attack" cars. Notably time attack cars generally have to use road-legal tyres, as well as OEM chassis (though that is open to liberal interpretation).

Well, im pretty sure a few people have made Pikes Peak cars with 993 porsches, and im pretty sure most of the RUF cars in this game get dirt tires. I'm wondering what kept PD from putting dirt tires on more cars, seeing as some pretty odd cars get them, like the C6 Z06.

Reiter Engineering actually made an off road capable Gallardo that you can replicate in gt5, but the car itself doesnt come with dirt tires...

So you can or cannot add dirt tires to a Gallardo in GT5?

EDIT: Never mind, found out you can't :grumpy:

Not an answer to the OP's question, but i thought you guys could appreciate this little masterpiece in a hill climbing topic. Enjoy.

Thanks Krizzay, I had a decent set of earphones on and was giggling like a kid. I watched it twice just for the sound. Just way too much fun! Days of Madness was awesome as well! 👍👍

Have a good one

I hope no one has forgotten about the 1000+ hp Suzuki escudo dirt trial car.

That thing IS an actual spikes peak car.

I came here to post this, can't believe nobody mentioned it. Although it has the second worst turbo lag in the game (second only to the Option Stream Z)

careface

True. But after that 2 second lagg fest you have one of the fastest cars in the game
