GT5 to include engine swaps (across manufactures)

Yerp, the FIA GT GT-R (one being developed for next year) and the Super GT GT-R run 5.6 litre V8's and RWD with sequential boxes. Pretty much just the GT-R chassis stays.

You can not compare any race results because you don't know what engine is in what car... I hope this is only speculation... and nothing more

I hope its true and a reality in GT5 ALSO, coz its happening for ages in racing and real life! My prof is my EG6 with K20 engine (thats a swap) !

I doubt you would be able to do a cross brand swap. I'm guessing the engine will have to be made by the same manufacturer(i.e. a Pontiac GTO with a LS7).

I think that would be the most likely option if they do implement engine swaps. Still, thats sufficient.... put the premium engine of a car maker into one of their lesser cars that you might like.

They could create for each engine and car a simple CLASS. For example Class A HUGE engines, B, mid engines, C small engines. Civic can have C and B, Mercedes all A B C, Fiat 500 C only.. etc etc..
They need about 5 classes for that. Simple.

Like a friend of my friend has one:tup:! Pretty shiny and all restored from the in side and out side! Its hasnt a B16B but a B16A2! Its practicly new (shame i dont have any pics)! Its a terror seeing it go !

Even though you'd have different engine classes,
what will the effect be on the driving? Only the power?
or also a weight difference?
But okay.. I think we'd rather see engine swaps than windscreen wipers
