GT5 Tournament with friends!

I'm about to setup a "race night" with some friends. The thought is that we all come togheter with our PS3/Wheels and seats and race all night long in a tournament. We will be approx 10 players.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any good suggestion on tracks and cars that we should use so the racing will be as "tight" as possible?

And also if anyone has any good idea about how to use a "handicap" system (diffrent cars/awarded points etc.) since some racers are newbies (never played) and some are really experianced in GT5, to make the tournament as even as possible for everyone.

I think you are supposed to pick class of car you like but why not choose an engine size, like 2.0litre. Pick then test a few cars at the same pp/bhp and weight and when you get them pretty much the same have a look (dont copy) other race formats from this section.
You could force aero to make the cars look more racey ect.
