I was thinking...how awesome would it be if GT5 got a DLC pack with historical tracks from the 40s, 50s, and 60s...they could have historical championships, only using historically accurate cars on historically accurate tracks...what do you all think?

It would be pretty difficult, since some Historic tracks are very different from what they are now, so PD would have to combine data and creativity to make the creations as accurate as possible. On the other hand historic cars is a bit more easier, but obtaining them for gaming use isn't always permitted and many of them are quite rare to find.

Well, we would all love to see Brooklands or Linas-Montlhery in the game but it would be hard to replicate them to a good, drivable status.

And historical cars? Well, always dreamed about old F1 cars or a Group B event in the game, but as stated above, obtaining the cars is difficult and I don't think the manufacturers or owners would allow them. And don't even talk about the licenses needed for all of them.

I was thinking how awesome it would be, if you people understood to keep all DLC talk in the DLC thread, rather than making a new thread whenever you got a new idea...

What a lovely dream! :)

Would love to see the old Hockenheimring, Imola, and Avus. I don't think PD can detail all this because they're no longer in existance.

LOL So true. Not a single tweet from Kaz regarding updates or DLC in months.

I'd quite like it if the old GT tracks were made a bit more retro -

Deep Forest could be tightened right up, hedges near the track. Patches of bad track surface, some more lumpy sections.

Modern tracks are all so wide you could land a formation of fast jets on them.

An old Lumpy bumpy Nurburgring would be Outstanding.

Or Solitude... or Bremgarten.

A proper old Monaco would be nice... really narrow, with real lamp posts and track funiture to avoid.
