Hi folks , im just a bit confused ive purchased a ps3 and a g25 just to play gt5 , its a christmas present and not played it yet but have been reading conflicting reviews about the game .Im currently playing forza 3 and love time trialling . The question is will i enjoy gt5 ? :ouch:

All i can say is play it and make your own mind up. I have had it from the day of release and havn't been off it i was also pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed but then again i wasn't expecting the earth like most people seem to have been lol. Im shocked this is the first reply as i was expecting a load of people to be on here telling you to get rid of it. Sums up all of the complainers on here as i bet they are still playing it to death when they are not moaning on here lol.

So you're asking if you're going to enjoy GT5, while you know you are getting it for Christmas?
1:
2: Try it for yourself and you will probably decide if you like it.
Hint: Don't expect to immediately like it. Dig into it before making a final decision.

Reward yourself early and break out the game and get started. That's all I can say.

I won't be able to play GT5 till christmas too and I can't wait!!! But if you like time trials and time trials in gt5 are as good as in the GT Academy TT demo then you will love it. I have never time trialed in Forza though.

And give b-spec a chance, my Bobs are training and giving me lots of credits and prizes go Bobs!

Read through and make up your mind. If you haven't got a FFB wheel, you can get one for cheap- the DFGT. Unlike FM3 where you need to spend upward of $300 (or depending on your location) to get best out of the game, GT5 requires a measly investment of a relatively affordable wheel. The benefit is enormous and in TT, having a good FFB wheel is half the fun.

Well if you are into Forza you will find a couple of things missing in GT5 that you may find troubling. You will also find a lot of things that are not in Forza that could come as a nice surprise.

The biggest weak points were it comes to driving compared to Forza is no leaderboards at the moment and no ability to earn credits or xp in online races.

The strong points compared to Forza is the cars feel more real and you do not have to do an AWD swap to compete in a race at the lower end.

Other things that some Forza users will not like is no livery editor and no ability to buy liveries or tunes.

Lot's of cool stuff here though. Really depends on what parts of the game are most important to you.

If you're a petrolhead, this will be your heaven

This is probably your best advice. If you like cars because of the lifestyle and culture, then there is no better game to date. Since this game came out Black ops has just been collecting dust!

I enjoy GT5. It irritates the life out of me, but I still enjoy it.
