GT5 Update Problems

Hi guys, I'm new here and I think that this is my first post.

I'm having a problem with updating my GT5. I recently got unlimited internet and decided now that I can finally update my GT5 properly. Currently I have 2.0 and when I try play my GT5 it tells me to update to 2.07 . So I started the update today and it said it has 6 parts to it. The first one was 246mb which I believe is 2.02 . So I let it download then suddenly when the time comes to install, the update won't install and it gives me an error code and stuff :sick:

I did this atleat 4 times and it still says the same thing over and over again.
Now I can't access GT5 online and I'm stuck with nothing... What must I do to get this thing to work?

Please help, thanks in advance.
 
Try deleting the game data, bringing it down to 1.0, then try updating it all again.

If you have fast internet, it's worth a try.

Just make sure it's the Game data and not the Save Data.

My line is 1 mbps but I usually get 100kbps download speed. Would all the updates in total be around 2 gigs? If it is then I can get it done in a night.

Ok I deleted the system files and I'll let everything update again

Good luck, I have 5 Mbps and to upgrade to 2.05 took me 5 hours.

This is probably the most important part to troubleshoot. If you can't find the time to write down the error code, its your problem. Why do you think they even have error codes??
 
I downloaded all the updates from scratch yesterday on a second PS3, it only took just over an hour to download and install, then another 30 mins to do nthe Disc install.

Make sure no one else is using the internet in your home.
 
Did the same rubbish again and this time I deleted all the game data utillity... So now I can't install any update. Except this time I wrote down the code. it's 80029564
 
And just peachy, I found out now that someone at home turned off the Playstation because they thought no one was using it yesterday. Specifically after I said that they should leave it alone :grumpy: So furious now
 
So I checked out the net about the error code I got. I did everything that PSN told me to do. I deleted the corrupted file and I cleared my cache, cookies and history. Also, I deleted the game utiltily and reconnected my router to my PS. The MTU is now set to 1492 according to another forum. I'll do the update later today but for now should I reinstall the GT5 data from the disc?
 
If you have deleted that corrupted file without having a back up, your progress is gone.
 
If you mean progress like game saves then I shouldn't worry because I made a back up yesterday before I did the update
 
I don't believe this.... I'm getting a whole new error code now... I'm getting 8002AE22, I did it with the wireless first then I did a wired connection. I'm getting ticked off with this now... Now I'm getting this with the first updates. I did these before with no problems now all of this is coming up
 
Just to make this even worse, my whole GT5 is messed up now... There's no sound effects when I race and the game takes heaps of time to load even though I installed the game now. So sad now and I dunno how to solve this :(

So I started the update, version 2.08. theres 17 files to be downloaded, 4 files were downloaded, when the 13th file had finished download it installed till 64% and then it gave me an error code, so i gave up... when i went back to my game and tried to play, its asking me to install gt5 files again.

please help. what should i do?

Get your PS3 hard-wired and try again.
