My friends and I are setting up a bit of a championship this week and we're required to buy a GT500 car.

I've looked at my options and I'm leaning towards the Lexus SC430 ( Petronas Tom's or Eneos - Undecided as yet ) or the Xanavi Nismo 6.

I'm not a fan of the NSX and don't like the GT-Rs much. I know people are screaming at how cool the Calsonic GT-R is but I just don't feel that we get on together.

Can anyone do me a bit of a review of the SC430 v the Xanavi Nismo 6. Also..if there's anything else I missed, please let me know.

I havn,t driven the sc430 but I can tell you that you can push so much harder with the gtr's due to their 4wd system and they will let you off little mistakes like dropping a whhel off the track and not spinning you out, multply this by 11ty when you run no tracion control.

Try the Yellowhat Supra '05 ;) I was going to say the Calsonic or Yellowhat GTR... but you dont like them... :p

Chippy, hate to dissapoint you but the Xanavi Nismo GT-R is a FR car and not a 4WD car! :)

Still, to answer your question Rylan, between the two cars mentioned i would pick the Xanavi, since is one of the best cars in handling in GT5!!! It won't let u down m8! 👍

I purchased both today. The lexus feels good, but the Xanavi Z is a beast.

Wow I didn't know that, the only one I own is the yellowhat gtr and I just assumed that they all were...

Lexus - Understeers

GTR - Neutral

Of the premium GT500's I prefer the GTR... it is easier to drive than the NSX's and has less understeer than the 430's.

The '06 Z is a bit of a 'cheater' in that class as although it has roughly the same power and weight as the others, it has a lot more torque... though this is true of some of the older GT500 class cars too as previous generations also ran turbocharged engines as opposed to NA V8's.

The Nismo Z is a great car, better than the Lexus in my eyes. Although nothing can beat the Raybrig NSX. ^^

Anyone care to comment on the '08 GTR's vs the '05 Supra?

I bought the Supra given its much nicer (IMHO) shape to the skyline, but fear I bought the wrong JGTC car.

Also, the 05 yellowhat Supra has a glitch in it in that in cockpit view, it doesn't have a cockpit rear view.

Not if you fiddle with the LSD. I've got the Denso Sard SC430, and it is a superstar! 👍

I don't think it's a glitch because more cars have that, Zonda R comes to mind but I'm not sure if my memory fails me.

I have both the gtr is heavier with more power than the lexus but I like the lexus more but thats only after lowering the ride height and firming up the suspension. But the big but is the gtr sounds miles better than the lexus.

The GT500s are all kinda similar ultimately....as is in real life their performance should be similar...The first car I bought for the GT500 was the SC430, since I thought that was the coolest looking of them bunch(and furthest away from the car it was based on). Then I bought a GTR and a NSX when I got more credits. My preference to drive is the GTR since I find the visibility out of its cockpit is the best of the 3.

The Zonda R doesn't really have a rear window, so that's why it doesn't. I would think the Supra would have a rear view based on the pictures I can find of the car.

I have both and the Nismo Z does laps on average about 2 seconds better than the Lexus....

can sombady help me.

on weekend i drive in GT500 liga.

should i drive with the Nismo Z06(1100kg) ore Motul Pitwork Z04 (1080kg)

what do you mean. have any body a setting for one of these cars?:dunce:

The Motul Pitwork car has about 75bhp less than the Nizmo 6. It's a nice car but the two don't compete without limitations and/or tuning.

In the end I went for the Nizmo 6. I do find it the better of the cars and I do feel like I have a slight edge sometimes against those Lexus.
